The 54th Annual World Series of Poker (WSOP) recently concluded with Daniel Weinman shipping the $10,000 WSOP Main Event World Championship title to win $12,100,000. His victory at the biggest poker show on the planet reminded us of the biggest poker cashes ever recorded. Let’s have a look at all the biggest cashes in poker history.
This doesn’t come as a surprise, as the list starts off with Bryn Kenney. Most poker enthusiasts who have been following the sport for some time will be quick to realise which incident we will be talking about. Yes, it’s the £1,050,000 No Limit Hold’em – Triton Million for Charity (Event #2), which took place in 2019. Playing in a field filled with few of the biggest names in poker, we saw some of the best pros compete in this event.
Kenney found himself going against Aaron Zanga in a heads-up challenge for the title as the Hong Kong based pro overturned a 5:1 chip lead against Kenney to win one of the biggest poker tournaments.

However, before playing the final hand, Kenney and Zang had struck a deal that saw Kenney lock up more money despite not winning the tournament. Despite coming in second place, the highly famous accused poker cheater ended up pocketing $20,563,324 for his performance at £1,050,000 No Limit Hold’em – Triton Million for charity, which till date, remains to be the biggest poker cashes in recorded tournament history.
Antonio Esfandiari, who is also nicknamed as ‘The Magician’ managed to pocket one of the biggest pots in history back in 2012. His record stayed for nearly seven years before it was broken by Kenney in 2019. He won The Big One for One Drop (Event #55) to walk away with $18,346,673 in WSOP 2012. Having won such a massive pot over a decade ago, Esfandiari will be dreaming of winning such a pot once again soon.
Aaron Shu Nu Zang won $16,775,820 at the £1,050,000 No Limit Hold’em – Triton Million for Charity (Event #2) which remains to be historic as we saw two of the biggest poker cashes recorded in 2019.
Zanga was playing against Kenney, an all-time poker great for the biggest pot in poker history. The Chinese poker pro managed to spin around a 5:1 chip lead against Kenney while playing heads up and won one of the biggest poker tourneys we have seen so far. However, since Zang had struck a deal with Kenney, he ended up winning the second biggest pot while Kenney pocketed more money despite not winning the tournament.
Massachusetts based Daniel Colman followed the footsteps of Esfandiari and became the second ‘Big One for One Drop’ champion. The United States poker pro had a memorable outing at WSOP 2014 when he managed to get the better of Daniel Negreanu to win $1,000,000 No Limit Hold’em – The Big One for One Drop (Event #57). He ended up pocketing $15,306,668, which remains to be the fourth biggest poker cashes ever recorded.
Following three days of action at the 2016 Monte-Carlo One Drop Extravaganza €1,000,000-buy-in Big One For One Drop saw Hong Kong-based Elton Tsang being crowned as the winner. He won the fifth biggest prize in poker history after defeating a field of 28 entries to win a massive €11,111,111, which translated to $12,248,912.
