Battlegrounds Mobile India: First Esports Tournament To Take Place Soon

Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) is expected to host the first ever esports event this month. On 17 June, the early access version of Battlegrounds Mobile India was opened to Android users. Krafton, the developers of Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) revealed that to establish a proper esports ecosystem, it is working with several partners, teams and players. 

Krafton also revealed that to promote gaming culture, it will be conducting a series of tournaments and events which will be India specific. Krafton aims to build an esports ecosystem that will bring in gaming content regularly which will be announced later. Global gaming tournaments and events have proved to be a major platform for gamers to showcase their talents and win rewards.

A report by IGN India claims that esports team Orange Rock has announced its team roster for the BGMI tournament. As per the statement, Destro, Gill, Anot, Vexe and Aditya will be a part of the team. They will play the following roles:

1. Ammar aka “Destro” Khan – In-game Leader
2. Arshpreet aka “Gill” Gill Singh – Rifler
3. Joe “Anto” Michael Anto – Entry fragger and assaulter
4. Arth “Vexe” Trivedi – Rifler
5. Aditya “Aditya” Mathe – Entry fragger

Therefore, it is believed that the first BGMI esports event could be a major opportunity for Indian players. Gamers are urged to keep an eye on BGMI’s official website and social pages for the announcement of the event. The company is expected to conduct the tournament as big as the PUBG tournaments.

Krafton will soon release a stable version of BGMI and will also unlock all the maps and modes. So far, the game has garnered more than five million downloads. Krafton is also offering in-game rewards for players which include a supply crate coupon, 2 EXP Cards, 2 BP Cards, and more.
