“The real money gaming (RMG) industry is witnessing a rapid increase in its user base with a positive change in people’s perception. Unconventional games like poker and rummy are redefining the digital game industry in India as it is providing a real chance to their users to carve a sustainable profession or make it a passive income option. Players like Avinash are a great example of players who are changing the face of the poker industry by establishing the fact that poker is a game of skill and that one may not need to be Dan Bilzerian to play poker. These players not just inspire but also lead the baton of changing the way the society looks at poker”, said Krishnendu Guha, Chief Revenue Officer, Adda52.
The other two players who made it to the final 3 of the Big Millions tournament apart from koneru were Bulusu Venkat Ram Narayana (2nd for ₹22.73 Lakh) and Himanshu Arora (3rd for ₹16.34 Lakh). Notably, the participation in such interesting poker events is witnessing an enthralling mix of players from different career paths and ages who are coming forward and taking part in the mind sport.
