After Asian Poker Tour (APT) wrapped up its live poker series in Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh at the Saigon Poker Club, it’s now heading to the Philippines for its next stop. In just two weeks’ time, the doors to APT Philippines will open and poker players will once again have the opportunity to win APT titles and rewards from PHP 29 Million in guaranteed prize pool.
The APT Philippines 2022 will take place between 6th to 18th September at the Grand Wing Casino in Newport World Resorts. There are 24 tournaments in the line-up including four marquee tournaments – the Mystery Bounty 2 Million GTD, Main Event 15 Million GTD, Championships 10 Million GTD, and the Monster Stack 2 Million GTD.
Day 1 of APT Philippines 2022 will host two flights to the Mystery Bounty event where 5K will go to the bounty pool. There will be multiple re-entries allowed before the end of the registration period. For events with multiple flights, players who have already qualified from a previous Day 1 can re-enter a new starting flight, however, if they qualify for a second time, they will head to Day 2 with only the biggest stack.
The highlight of the series is definitely the Main Event which boasts of a PHP 15 million guarantee and has a buy-in worth PHP 55,000. The Championships event is also one that players should keep an eye out for with its PHP 10 million guarantee.
A portion of the Indian contingent is expected to head to the Philippines to grind in this event. Players like Zarvan Tumboli, Shardul Parthasarathi, Ritwik Khanna, Jasven Saigal, Ashish Munot, Amit Kaushik, among others have made successful runs in the previous editions of APT and can be making their way to the Philippines for another 13 days of thrilling live poker action.
