APT Vietnam 2022: Zarvan Tumboli Only Indian To Survive ME Day 1A

Poker players at the Asian Poker Tour (APT) Vietnam Hanoi Loyal 2022 were grinding on the live felts as the Day 1A flight for APT Main Event (ME) took place. The APT ME has a whopping VND 5 Billion in advertised guarantee and will have three Day 1 flights. Day 1A which had 73 entries saw Vietnamese pro Huu Dung Nguyen leading the pack onto Day 2 of the tournament. He bagged a stack of 152,900 chips which gives him a massive 191 big blinds.

Nguyen is no stranger to APT’s felts. He already has an APT title to his credit. In 2017, this poker pro won the APT Philippines Championship’s Event.

The buy-in of the event was VND 22,000,000 and players began with a starting stack of 25,000 chips. The blinds on Level 1 were 50/100 and players bagged and tagged at the end of Level 9. The next two flights, Day 1B and Day 1C, will take place on 10th June at 12 PM and 11th June at 12 PM, respectively. Players who enter the tournament at the last moment will get a  stack of 20 BBs to start with.

 

Among the 30 survivors from Day 1A, Zarvan Tumboli was the only Indian player who made the cut. Tumboli recently shipped the ME of the World Poker Tour (WPT) Prime Vietnam 2022. The Baazi Poker Tour March 2022 High Roller winner is placed 26th on the chip stack chart with 29,700 chips at his disposal.

There is also bubble protection for players who wish to grind in the tournament. This means if you find yourself busting on the bubble, APT will return your buy-in amount in the form of APT credits. Players who want to qualify for the bubble protection need to pre-register for the tournament, draw their seat and have their chips in play by the first deal of Level 1.

Day 2 of the APT Vietnam 2022 ME will commence on 12th June at 12 PM.
