APT Vietnam 2022: Shardul Parthasarathi Leads Player Of The Series Leaderboard

The Indian contingent at the Asian Poker Tour (APT) Hanoi Loyal 2022 event in Vietnam are crushing the live felts. Among them is Shardul Parthasarathi who clinched the coveted APT Hanoi Loyal 2022 Main Event (ME) title and is now leading the APT Player of the Series (POS) leaderboard as well. Parthasarathi climbed the list thanks to his ME victory and is in a good spot to grab the 1st prize.

The pro who captained Kolkata Kings during Season 4 of Poker Sports League is leading the APT leaderboard race with 780.24 points which is only 71.17 points ahead of Tran Duc Son who comes in second with 709.07 points. With only three more days for the series to end, it will be exciting to see if Parthasarathi can maintain his spot atop the APT POS leaderboard. It would be brilliant if Parthasarathi scoops the POS leaderboard title and makes his country proud.

However, he’s not alone as Ashish Munot, the Main Event runner-up is close on his heels in fourth position on the leaderboard with 555.17 points. Munot is a prolific player be it online or live felts. He clinched the World Poker Tour (WPT) India Main Event title in 2020 and even finished as the runner-up in the WPT Prime Vietnam 2022 Main Event after battling Zarvan Tumboli who eventually won the event. While he’s still to ship his first title in Vietnam, a first-place finish on the leaderboard might just be around the corner.

Another Indian that currently sits among the top 10 places on the leaderboard is Ankit Jajodia. With 494.95 points, Jajodia finds himself in the eighth position. This poker pro has won his fair share of live titles. He won the Kick-Off event in Manila Megastacks for $12,062 in May 2019 and even shipped the Hyper Turbo tournament for $1,429 in the same series.

If Parthasarathi ends up as the leaderboard topper he will be taking home a Player of the Series trophy, a POS ring, a luxury watch and $800 in cash. For the player that finishes in second and third place, they will be taking home a runner-up trophy and $100 in cash each.

With some amazing performances delivered by the Indian team in Vietnam, it wouldn’t be an overstatement to say that a POS leaderboard title might just come home as well.
