APT Phu Quoc 2023: Dhaval Mudgal Wins Event 20 Like A Boss!

Yes, it was time when one of the Indian pros shipped an Asian Poker Tour (APT) event at its Phu Quoc stop and guess who did the honours? Our beloved pro Dhaval Mudgal. Yes, folks! Our mighty talented poker pro has shipped Event 20 Freezeout for a prize money worth ₫157,160,000 (₹5,50,942). Mudgal is all smiles as he poses for pictures.

The ₫10,000,000+1,000,000 Event #20 had 54 entries out of which Mudgal emerged victorious like a boss. The pro shared this happy news on his Instagram stories and mentioned, “Finally got my hands on that Lion trophy.” The event saw Jennifer Cassell from Australia turn runner-up for ₫113,660,000. After an intense two and half money bubble, a total of eight players made it in the money.

APT Phu Quoc March 2023: Heads-up

When the heads-up clash became between Mudgal and the Australian poker player, he had a chip lead of over 3:1 which he made sure to keep it that way. Even though Cassell put up a brave fight at the poker table, she couldn’t turn the game around in her favour and eventually settled for the second position.

Dhaval Mudgal at APT Phu Quoc March 2023

This was Mudgal’s third final table appearance at the APT Phu Quoc March 2023 edition and second victory at the Asian poker series. It is a moment of utter joy and pride to see an Indian pro ship a coveted title overseas. Mudgal came fourth in the ₫15,000,000 +1,500,000 No Limit Hold’em – Turbo (Event 18) at the current stop of APT. He took a pay cheque of ₫61,550,000 (₹2,15,722) for his fourth place finish.
