The Asian Poker Tour (APT) is undoubtedly one of the most prominent poker series across the Asian continent. It has often been the springboard for players from various countries to make a name for themselves in the live poker circuit. The APT 2023 kick-started with APT Hanoi, Vietnam 2023 and took place at the VSOP Club in Hanoi. The tournament series flagged off on 3rd February and went on till 12th February 2023. It saw Tang Kelvin defeat a pool of 250 players to win the APT Mini Main Event that boasted a VND 1,940,000,000 prize pool. The Chinese national ended up winning VND 387,630,000 ($16,449) in the first APT series of 2023.
APT Phu Quoc ran at the Corona Resort and Casino between 24th March and 2nd April 2023. This series saw 136 players register for the Mini Main Event, with the event prize pool on offer sitting at VND 1,055,360,000. South Korea’s Jang Hosung claimed the first prize and won VND 253,280,000 ($10,802) for his performance.
After two events in Vietnam, the poker action shifted to Taiwan with APT Taipei 2023. The live poker series took place between 28th April and 7th May 2023 and was hosted at the Asia Poker Arena. Jehu Liam shipped the Mini Main Event, which boasted a TWD 4,906,260 prize pool. The Australian emerged victorious against a pool of 562 players to win TWD 831,060 ($27,124) on the island nation.

The APT Summer Series event was played at the Grand Loyal Poker Club in the Grand Vista Hotel. This poker extravaganza took place between 26th May and 4th June 2023 and saw the Mini Main Event have a VND 2,151,072,000 prize pool. Local lad Tran Minh Thang got the better of a player field that consisted of 308 participants to win VND 429,012,000 ($18,273).
The APT Summer Series Da Nang was played between the 21st to 30th of July 2023 at the Furama Resort Danang (Ariyana Convention Centre). The Mini Main Event saw 301 entrants, with the event prize pool sitting at VND 2,890,503,000. Vietnam’s Thanh Nguyen managed to emerge victorious and walk away with VND 480,233,000 ($20,270) as winnings for his performance.
One of the most highly awaited tournaments, the APT Incheon South Korea 2023 was played between 25th August to 3rd September at the Paradise City Casino. This series saw United Kingdom’s Craig Anthony Cooper ship the APT Incheon South Korea 2023 Mini Main Event. Playing against a pool of 377 players with KRW 230,384,700 on offer, the Englishman went on to pocket KRW 44,784,700 ($33,996) during the outing.
