APT Hanoi Billions 2023: Romit Advani Ships PL Omaha High

Indian poker pro Romit Advani added one more live title to his credit. The poker pro shipped the PL Omaha High 8 Max title at the recently concluded Asian Poker Tour (APT) APT Hanoi Billions 2023. He took home a pay cheque worth VND 143,892,000 (~₹4.95 Lakh) for his tournament win. 

Advani was all smiles as he posed for the winner’s image. The Indian player beat Chinese national Yucheng Xiao in heads-up to emerge victorious. The runner-up added VND 97,100,000 to his bankroll for his second place finish at the Omaha event.

PL Omaha High 8 Max

This tournament at the APT Hanoi Billions 2023 had a buy-in of 4,000,000. The final prize pool generated stood at VND 744 Million with total entries standing at 186. The event also saw other Indian players like Jatin Sablani and Siddharth Jolly finish in the money. Sablani finished 13th for a payday of VND 10,720,000 whereas Jolly took the 15th position for VND 9,740,000.

Talking about Indians shipping tourneys at the coveted live Asian poker series, Jolly had shipped the Tick Tock Boom event at the series for a prize money worth VND 145.615 Million (~₹5 Lakh). Talking about the Indians grinding at the series, many pros landed in Hanoi for the poker series. 

Well-known pros like Kunal Patni, Rubin Labroo, Avneesh Munjal, Kanchan Sharma, Gaurav Sood, Jasven Saigal, Vishal Ojha, Amit Kaushik, Sanish Chhabra, Siddharth Mundada, Pratibh Saluja, Pratibha Arya, Arun Sriram, Karan Gupta, Mohit Bohra, Aman Parakh, Paawan Bansal, Harsh Bubna, Meherzad Munsaf, Jaideep Sajwan, Ayush Garg among others had participated in this poker series. 

In other news, the live poker brand in an announcement shared on social media revealed that they are cancelling the remainder of the series. All of the tournaments scheduled on 9th and 10th December were cancelled including the Main Event Day 4 which was scheduled for 9th December 2023.
