APT Hanoi 2023 Kickoff: Zarvan Tumboli Finishes As The Runner-Up

Asian Poker Tour (APT) Hanoi 2023 has kick-started at the VSOP Club in Hanoi, Vietnam. And the Indian contingent there is making sure that their presence is felt from the first event itself. Two Indians – Kunal Patni and Spartan Poker pro Zarvan Tumboli have successfully made it in the money of APT Kickoff event, and also bagged and tagged to advance to Day 2.

The Kickoff event recorded a total entry field of 242 entries, out of which the top 31 have progressed to Day 2, all of whom have also made it in the money. It has generated a prize pool of VND3,507,520,000. The play was paused on Day 1 at Level 20, with blinds at 6,000/12,000, ante 12,000. 

APT Hanoi 2023 Kickoff Final Day: Updates

Zarvan Tumboli takes the second position in the APT Hanoi 2023 Kickoff event. After coming down to just 10 big blinds, the Spartan Poker pro turned the game around and reached heads-up. GG Zarvan!

Kunal Patni has busted from the event at the 13th spot. Patni with his pocket queens, succumbed to AJ, and bowed out at the 13th place, just short of the final table (FT).

On the other hand, Tumboli has successfully made it on the FT with about 10 big blinds, and will now battle for the title, which has $30,000 up top. GL, Tumboli!

Tumboli has made it to Day 2 with a stack of 611,000 chips at his disposal, while Patni progresses with 269,000 chips. Apart from Tumboli and Patni, pros Jasven Saigal and Alok Birewar were also grinding at this event, however, they did not make it to Day 2, after busting early in the tournament.
