The Swiss Grand Hotel in Seoul hosted the long-awaited APL Series 2023 between 10-14 May 2023. It included 11 events which also consisted of the Main Event and the Super High Roller team event. There was also live coverage on quite a few feature tables. Let’s have a look at how things panned out on a day-to-day basis at the event.
Day 1
The first day of the APL Series 2023 series consisted of various events, which were the Mystery Bounty events alongside Main Event Day-1. The mystery bounty event, which had been scheduled for Flights A, B, and C, was filled during the day after being closed in Flight B. While Flight A had 341 entries, Flight B registered 109 entries each.
The players who advanced to Day 2 confirmed ITMs and were set up to compete for a bounty worth up to 20,000,000 alongside the trophy. Notable players in Gap, Yong Kim and Jin Ho Hong, made an appearance as The main event day one ended with 273 participants.
Day 2
Events like Pot Limit Omaha, Mystery Bounty Day-2 and Main Event Day-1J were scheduled for the second day of the APL Series. South Korea’s Yoo Hyun Kim pocketed the Mystery Bounty trophy Kyung Moon won the largest $20,000 bounty, while Event winners Yoo Hyun Kim and Soo Chan Choi won the second largest $10,000 bounty.

Day 3
The third day of this APL Series featured the women-only Queens event alongside the Charity event and the last remaining main event, day-1. Quite a few female players graced the Queens event, which saw South Korean player Jin Hwa Kim winning the tournament after nine hours of grinding. The Charity event also proved to be very popular while Lee from South Korea lifted his first APL trophy.
DAY 4
The fourth day consisted of multiple events in Super Stack Day-1, Super High Roller day-1 and Late Night Madness. The Main Event started with 217 players, with only 34 players able to advance to day-3. Speaking about Superstack, The most popular event of the season, 93 out of 360 players made it to the next, with the event boasting a minimum prize pool of 40 players. The highly anticipated Super High Roller Event saw a lot of players outside of Korea feature in it. The day ended with Late Night Madness, where Kang won the title.
DAY 5
The final day of the APL Series saw the conclusion of the previous days’ events, as well as a Team Event and Endgame.Day-3 of the main event ended after four players remained on the Final Table. They agreed to split the prize money, which saw Kim taking home the trophy. Su hwan Kwon also emerged as the first Super Stack winner, while other side events ended at the same time.
