AOPS 2024: Players Who Can Ship The Main Event

Have you seen the buzz that Adda52 Online Poker Series (AOPS) has created since the series was announced by online poker giant – Adda52. A ₹15 Crore GTD series, with 110+ events, 25 trophy events, ₹3 Crore Main Event and the final table of four marquee events to take place live at the Deltin Royale, Goa.

The much-awaited online poker series, which is massively popular among players kick-started on 27^th January, and will run till 18^th February 2024. The highlight of this series is the prestigious Main Event, offering a ₹3 Crore prize pool.

AOPS 2024 Main Event 

The Main Event comes with a buy-in of ₹11,000 and nine flight events before survivors progress to Day 2. We bet every poker pro wants to nail this title and add boatloads of money to their bank accounts. We thought it’s best to present a list of players who we think could ship the coveted Main Event (ME), keeping in mind their recent performances on online felts across different poker platforms.

AOPS 2024 Main Event Contenders

Arun Sriram

Adda52 Game Ambassador needs no introduction. He has aced the live and online poker games with his excellent poker skills and continues to give his opponents a tough time at the games. Sriram will be participating in the series which kick-started on 27th January and we bet he has his eyes set on the Main Event. This poker pro added a heavy-duty title like the EndBoss on PokerBaazi to his credit in September 2023 and has close to 100 online poker titles to his name. As a pro who grabbed one of the biggest pay cheques in 2023, Sriram has top notch potential to take down AOPS 2024 Main Event.

Faiz Alam

This player has already once before shipped the AOPS Main Event title in March 2020. The question begs itself—Can he do it again? We think he can. Alam has been running hot in the initial weeks of 2024 when it comes to online poker tournaments and if he continues his streak of running good, then AOPS 2024 ME title does not look like a far-fetched dream. Will this dream come true? Only time will tell.

Gadadhar Behera

This player is a well-established name in the Indian online poker industry. His name pops up every now and then in the list of players who have shipped titles or had deep run-ins in poker tournaments across various online poker platforms. In December 2023, Behera shipped PokerBaazi’s EndBoss title like a boss and added a cool ₹1 Crore prize money to his bankroll. Is he capable of pulling a Main Event victory in AOPS 2024? Yes, he is! There is no doubt that this poker pro has a ton of potential; Behera with the help of a robust strategy can surely win the AOPS ME 2024 title.

Aditya Singh

This poker pro has been grinding in the online poker tournaments and registering victories and cashes across poker platforms. Singh has claimed four titles in the new year, and we are sure he is looking to up that tally. He last played in Spartan Poker’s Mega Stack and shipped the tournament for a sum of ₹2.66 Lakh. In the week from 7th to 13th January 2024, Singh topped the weekly rankings with a collective winnings of ₹26.04 Lakh. He won tournaments like Ballers, BSS Superstack and Bounty Hunters Special 150.

Rishab Malik

This player is another top performer and his performance in 2024 in addition to his past scores are proof that he should be on our list of players who can ship the AOPS ME 2024 title. Malik in the second week of January 2024 was the third highest prize winner. He added over ₹18 Lakh to his bankroll in just one week. This three-time Millionaire champ has taken the fifth spot in two tournaments, namely The Summit and Daily Mini High Roller. Malik is sure to take the virtual felts by storm and if he ships the AOPS ME 2024, we won’t be surprised.

Mithun Mahesh 

How can we not add this cool and composed poker pro and coach to our list? This player has everything going for himself—top poker skills, disciplined approach to game, patience in abundance and vast experience. Mahesh is a known name in the poker circuit with incredible wins and cashes to his name. Just recently he took the fourth spot in Adda52’s Godfather for close to ₹2 Lakh and has been steadily making cashes. This Adda52 Big Game champion can surely roll up his sleeves for the upcoming AOPS 2024 series and take down the coveted ME title.

Aditya Agarwal 

Do we need a reason to add Aditya Agarwal to this list? We don’t think so. This poker pro and coach is considered to be the God of poker in India. A look at his 2024 poker exploits, Agarwal has third place finishes in the MoneyMaker for over ₹7 Lakh, BSS Big Bounty for close to ₹2 Lakh and Ultron for ₹1.60 Lakh. Not to forget he shipped the India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) Main Event title in January 2023 and left competition to bite dust. He can very easily do the same in the upcoming AOPS 2024 series.
