PokerGO has announced that Jake Schindler and Ali Imsirovic have been suspended from the PokerGO Tour due to poker cheating allegations. These two players are no longer allowed to participate in the Poker Masters high roller series or any PokerGO events for the rest of the year.
Fans noticed the absence of Schindler and Imsirovic from the PokerGO Tour leaderboard as the two players are no longer eligible to win. PokerGO released a brief statement on the matter which said, “The PokerGO Tour (PGT) today announced the indefinite suspensions of Ali Imsirovic and Jake Schindler from tour play, effective immediately. The suspensions will extend through at least the 2022 PGT season, upon which time a review will take place.” Earlier, Daniel Negreanu took to Twitter to hint at the ban before the start of the series

Multiple top poker pros accused the two players of collusion in live poker tournaments. They also accused the two of using real-time assistance (RTA) tools to gain unfair advantage against their opponents in online tournaments. Schindler had won his first WSOP bracelet earlier this year and both he and Imsirovic have yet to confirm or deny the allegations against them.
The two have been considered to be among the best tournament players and Negreanu even dubbed Schindler as a top tournament crusher before the allegations came to light. Ali Imsirovic even has a good run last year when he won 14 high roller tournaments and walked with the title of GPI and PokerGO Tour Player of the Year awards.
While the brief statement by PokerGO tells us that the suspension will be in place till the year’s end, it is not clear whether it will carry on to the following years as well. Due to the removal of Schindler and Imsirovic from the PokerGO leaderboard, Stephen Chidwick in now leading with 2,975 points.
