Zarvan Tumboli Finishes Runner-Up At APT VSOP PLO Event

The Pot-Limit Omaha (PLO) event at the ongoing Asian Poker Tour (APT) Summer Festival Hanoi – Vietnam Series of Poker (VSOP) 2022 recently concluded with Spartan Poker pro Zarvan Tumboli finishing second for $66,160,000. Norway’s Tommy Duy Linh clinched his first-ever APT title at this event for VND 80,460,000.

The PLO event had 28 players generate a prize pool of VND 217,280,000 (~US$ 9,290) for a buy-in of VND 800,000. The top five players were paid at this event. Tumboli, who had earlier shipped the APT Pot Limit Omaha (PLO) title last month at the APT Vietnam Hanoi Loyal 2022, was looking at defending his title but ended up at the runner-up spot, while Indian pro Ankit Jajodia finished at the second runner-up spot for a paycheque of VND 33,310,000.

“It would have been nice to do back-to-back PLO wins. Disappointed that I could not defend my title, was almost there. Anyways, happy that I could put up a good fight.”

Tumboli and his opponent ended the tourney in a deal, however, continued playing for the title and the trophy. While the Parsi boy bagged VND 67 million, his opponent cashed VND 74 million. Tumboli shared updates of the same on his Instagram stories.
