WSOP 2023 ME Day 5: Anirban Das Has The 6th Highest Stack; Nikita Luther, Aditya Systla Among The Top 100


Day 5 of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) 2023 Main Event has ended, with the top 149 players bagging and tagging to advance to Day 6. Among the top 149 are three Indians namely, Anirban Das, Aditya Systla and Nikita Luther. All three Indian pros are among the top 100 stacks to enter Day 5.

Das progresses with the sixth-highest stack of 9,230,000 chips. Second among the Indian contingent is Systla, with the 29th highest stack of 5,945,000 chips. Finally, India’s female pro has a stack size of 4,380,000 chips, which is the 58th highest among the lot.

Systla resumed Day 5 of the event with the third-highest stack of 5,075,000 chips, while Luther brought the 14th stack of 3,550,000 chips into Day 5. Das was at the 34th spot with 2,880,000 chips. 

Apart from these three Indian pros, Indian-origin players have also bagged and tagged at the end of Day 5. These include Raj Vohra, Harsheel Kothari, Amit Makhija, Kunal Shah, and Sachin Joshi. These are Indian-origin players who are now citizens of countries like the USA and Australia.

Apart from the three, Indian pro Anil Adiani had also qualified for Day 5. However, he busted at the 243rd spot, cashing a sum of $50,900. Other Indians who cashed at the WSOP 2023 Main Event include Nishant Sharma (1,026th, $17,500).
