WSOP 2020: Robert Kuhn triumphs Event #3: for $115,850!

Thirty-one gold bracelets are reserved for poker players residing in New Jersey and Nevada this July. The summer online World Series of Poker (WSOP) is underway on WSOP.com and today marked the third bracelet event that went down in the history books. Event 1 and Event 2 saw Jonathan Dokler and Louis Lynch taking home their career first bracelet. It is a memorable day for Robert “bustinballs” Kuhn who won the 2020 WSOP Event #3: $400 No-Limit Hold’em for $115,850 top prize!

The $400 buy-in tournament drew vast field of 2,091 runners that helped in generating a prize pool worth $752,760. The top 330 players finished in the money after New Jersey’s Angel “ChromeKing” Lopez bubbled in 331st place. Once again, Daniel “DNegs” Negreanu was spotted battling to add 7th bracelet to his legendary career. Unfortunately, Shane “Monkeyboy69” Howeth eliminated him in 210th place for $677 with his mass weapon of destruction Ah As!

A few notables to cash were Matthew “Michmeister” Mich (298th – $602), Mark “wiscomurray” Kroon (171st – $$828), Ari “philivey” Engel (76th – $1,279), Joey “JOEYdaMUSH” Galazzo (41st – $2,408), Jackson “Actjacksn” White (15th – $5,796), and Edward “Eddiegood598” Espino (11th – $7,452).

After Evan “Escott121181” Scott’s dismissal in 6th place, Max “ndirish50” Huster, “klubot” and “Doc33” also headed out. Heads-up got underway between Robert “bustinballs” Kuhn and Ronald “rlksaces” Keren. The former took a nearly 5:1 chip lead into play. The gold bracelet event 3 saw Kuhn opening for 800K and Keren 3-bet to 2 million. Kuhn 4-bet jammed for 25 million and Keren called for 5 million.

Keren – Ks 10s

Kuhn – 8h 8s

The flop opened 7s Jd As and Keren had a little hope to pick up a straight but 4c and 2d ended the game right there with Ohio’s Robert Kuhn taking down the competition for $115,850 in prize money and the coveted Gold Bracelet. According to Hendon Mob, Kuhn has cashed in 19 WSOP events that makes $373K in live earnings including WSOP Circuit gold right for $122K.

Final Table Payouts:

  1. Robert “bustinballs” Kuhn – $115,850
  2. Ronald “rlksaces” Keren – $71,587
