WPT Prime India 2023 Main Event: Live Updates

The World Poker Tour (WPT) Prime India 2023 is happening at the luxurious Deltin Royale Casino in Goa after a three-year-long hiatus. The series taking place between the 12th to 18th April 2023 is being attended by a large number of poker players from all over the country.

Among the unique and exciting attractions in the series, the highlight of the series is the Main Event. The event has a buy-in of ₹65,000 and will run between the 13th to 17th April 2023. The event will have three starting flights leading to Day 2. The players who successfully sail through the starting flights will then battle it out on Day 2, which will take place on 16th April 2023. Finally, Day 2 will conclude when the event gets its final tablists, who will return for the ultimate title hunt for Day 3 on 17th April 2023.

WPT India 2023 Main Event Schedule:

• Day 1A: 13th April 2023 at 1 PM (40-minute levels)
• Day 1B: 14th April 2023 at 1 PM (40-minute levels)
• Day 1C: 15th April 2023 at 1 PM (40-minute levels)
• Day 2: 16th April 2023 at 1 PM (60-minute levels)
• Day 3: 17th April 2023 at 1 PM (60-minute levels till the heads-up. The heads-up will have 30-minute levels)

Every player will get a starting stack of 30,000 chips. The late registrations for Day 1 A, B and C will remain close at the start of Level 7 (approximately 5.30 PM) on each of the three days. Similarly the players will have 15-minute breaks after every three levels on each of the Day 1 flights. On Day 2 and Day 3, players get a 15-minute break after every two levels.

The organisers have decided to payout 12.5% of the entry filed. This means approximately 1 out of 8 entries will be paid out. The final payouts will be announced after the end of Day 1. 

Apart from the starting flights, the WPT India 2023 Main Event also has two satellite events awarding free seats to Day 1 flights. Check out the WPT India 2023 Main Event satellite schedule:

• 12th April 2023 – This satellite will take place at 8.30 PM and have a buy-in of ₹9,000
• 13th April 2023 – This satellite event has a buy-in of ₹12,500 at 8.30 PM
