WPT Day 19: Kanchan Sharma & Ankur Sehgal Clinch Titles Amid Stiff Competition


WPT day 19 on Adda52 had some intense action unfolding on its online felts. Some of the best players in the country were seen battling it out for the top spots. With two high-value tournaments, day 19 was an exciting day on Adda52. Let’s have a look at what went down on day 19.

WPT Mini-6 Max – ₹8 Lakh GTD

As the name suggests, this tourney had a table size of six players. The 442 entries surpassed the initial guarantee to generate a final prize pool of ₹8,84,000. Top 49 places at this tourney made it in the money and the min-cash stood at ₹4,862.

Kanchan Sharma aka ‘thandicoke’ shipped this tourney for an impressive sum of ₹2,16,580. Aritra Sengupta aka ‘flushnace’ grabbed the runner-up spot for ₹1,28,180. 

IOPC July 2021 Mastermind runner-up, Avadh Shah finished third for the highest five-figure prize money of ₹88,400. Mohit Mehta busted at the 14th spot for ₹8,840. Gutshot’s April 2021 e-magazine cover star, Siddharth Karia busted at the 17th spot for ₹7,514, Sanish Chhabra finished 35th for ₹4,862 and Myron Pereira claimed the 40th spot for ₹4,862.

WPT Gladiator – ₹30 Lakh GTD

WPT Gladiator was one of the biggest tourneys of the night. 618 total entries slogged hard for the title spot. However, only the top 63 places made it in the money and the min-cash stood at ₹7,725. The initial guarantee of this tournament was surpassed and the final prize pool stood at ₹30,90,000. Ankur Sehgal aka ‘Aceleration’ topped the table and added a massive ₹7,87,950 to his bankroll.

Sahil Chutani aka ‘bluffme19’ was the runner-up at this tourney. Chutani walked away with a pay cheque of ₹4,48,050. Avadh Shah was seen at this tourney too. He finished 9th for ₹46,350. Ankit Wadhawan took the 10th spot for ₹40,170. Devrat Singh finished at the 14th spot for ₹30,900.

Shravan Chhabria finished 17th for ₹27,810. IOPC Blaze of Glory winner Harshad Barve finished at the 19th spot for ₹24,720. Sahil Mahboobani busted at the 22nd spot for ₹18,540, Kritagya Sharma claimed the 31st spot for ₹13,905; Deepak Bothra finished 34th for ₹13,905. IOPC July 2021 The Crown final table contender, Siddhanth Kripalani finished 36th for ₹13,905, Sanish Chhabra busted at the 38th spot for ₹13,905. Mohit Mehta finished 40th for ₹12,360. IOPC January 2021 Main Event winner Laksh Pal Singh finished 41st place for ₹12,360. WSOP bracelet winner Aditya Sushant busted at the 47th spot for ₹10,815 and two time IOPC leaderboard winner Bhanu Prakash finished 61st for ₹7725.
