WPT Day 17: Poker Champion Laksh Pal Singh Shipped Tuesday Feature Tourney & Cashed 5,40,000


On Day 17 of the World Poker Tour (WPT) series, two tournaments were hosted. The high-value Tuesday Feature 8 Max tournament was shipped by poker pro Laksh Pal Singh who traversed to the top among 543 entries in total. This event saw several pro players battle for the top spot. The second tournament of the day was the Mini 6-Max event which was shipped by Himanshu Bagdwal. Tuesday Feature 8 Max – ₹22.5 Lakh GTD

The Tuesday feature 8 Max tournament on Adda52 had 543 entries in total and this event was shipped by India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) January 2021 Main Event winner Laksh Pal Singh aka ‘BoomTilt23.’ This pro player cashed a whopping ₹5,40,000. The runner up in this event was Pradip Ghosh aka ‘Nit2Donk’ who took home ₹3,15,000 in prize money.

In this WPT event, the top 55 players made it in the money. Each of the 55 players took home a minimum of ₹10,125. Players who made it in the money in this ₹4,400 buy-in event were were Jyoti Ranjan Nayak (3rd, ₹2,13,750), Nadeem Basha (4th, ₹1,68,750), Gutshot’s June 2021 e-magazine cover star Siddhanth Kapoor (23rd, ₹16,875), Adda52 Game Ambassador Kunal Patni (28th, ₹14,625), Armaan Kochhar (33rd, ₹14,625), Kritagya Sharma (34th, ₹14,625) among others.

Mini 6-Max – ₹8 Lakh GTD

The Mini 6-Max WPT was a ₹2,200 buy-in tournament. This event attracted a total of 423 entries and the tournament was shipped by Himanshu Bagdwal aka ‘baagdi’ who received a pay cheque of ₹1,71,851. The runner up in this event was online reg Naresh Veeravalli aka ‘emperor457’ who received a pay cheque of ₹1,64,857.

The top 43 players who made it in the money received a minimum amount of ₹4,653 in prize money. Notable grinders who made it in the money in this ₹2,200 buy-in event were Mohit Dhingra (5th, ₹43,992), Kritagya Sharma (11th, ₹10,575), Sahil Mahboobani (16th, ₹8,460), Mohit Mehta (24th, ₹6,345), IOPC January 2020 Millionaire Main Event winner Anurag Srivastava (30th, ₹5,499) among others.
