The mid-week mania was evident on Adda52, as the World Poker Tour (WPT) ran full steam on the platform. Day 11 of WPT was full of thrill and intense poker moves. While many online regs participated in the events hosted yesterday, only a few got a bang for their buck. Let’s see who these players are.
Even in the middle of the week, WPT is going strong, and day 11 was kick-started with the Wednesday Rush event. With an advertised guarantee of ₹20 Lakh, poker pros could not resist the opportunity to boost their bankrolls and claim a WPT title. This event was attended by a total of 712 entries. The buy-in was ₹2,750 and the top 72 places were paid a min-cash of ₹4,000. Sajjan Barnwal aka ‘HaiTohHai’ won this tourney and laughed his way to the bank with ₹5,00,000. Uttam Kumar Sinha aka ‘chinunew’ was the runner-up who cashed ₹2,90,000 in prize money.
Players like Debneil Mukherjee (3rd, ₹1,96,000), Raghav Ananth (7th, ₹55,000), Sreekanth Narayan (9th, ₹30,000), Adda52 Game Ambassador, Kunal Patni (18th, ₹14,000), Amit Kaushik (39th, ₹8,000), Abhishek Reddy (43rd, ₹8,000), Vinayak Bajaj (58th, ₹5,000), Mohit Mehta (61st, ₹5,000), and Parikshit Dhall (72nd, ₹4,000) were among those who made it in the money.
The WPT Single Shot event welcomed 151 entries into its fold. This tournament had a buy-in of ₹7,500 and top 15 players were paid a min-cash of ₹26,250. IOPC January 2021 Millionaire Legends and Mastermind winner, Aniket Waghmare aka ‘anteman’ was the champion of this event. He took home a prize money of ₹4,05,000. Right behind him in the runner-up position was Devrat Singh aka ‘Vickypune’ who pocketed ₹2,55,000 in prize money.
Ayush Garg (6th, ₹75,000), Anmol Agarwal (7th, ₹60,000), Mohit Dhingra (10th, ₹33,750), Sreekanth Narayan (11th, ₹33,750), Ratul Steves (13th, ₹30,000), and Mithun Mahesh (14th, ₹26,250) all made the money in this tournament.
This event witnessed 312 entries flooding its virtual felts. The buy-in for WPT Moonlight stood at ₹1,800. Top 34 places were paid a min-cash of ₹4,200. Devrat Singh aka ‘Vickypune’ nailed this tourney and took a pay cheque of ₹1,21,345. The second position was claimed by Anmol Agarwal aka ‘anmol39’ who cashed ₹1,19,546 in prize money.
Others who got a piece from the prize pool were Neeraj Kumar (4th, ₹50,100), Rishabh Gupta (5th, ₹34,500), Mohit Mehta (7th, ₹18,000), Faiz Alam (10th, ₹9,000), IOPC July 2021 commentator Kanchan Sharma (13th, ₹7,800), Amit Kaushik (21st, ₹5,700), Gaurav Sood (27th, ₹4,800), Aditya Kulkarni (31st, ₹4,200), and Vishal Singh (33rd, ₹4,200).
