WPT Big One For One Drop: Santhosh Suvarna In Final 6

The World Poker Tour (WPT)  is hosting  one of its most-anticipated tournaments, The Big One For One Dro between 18th to 20th December 2023. Indian poker pro Santhosh Suvarna  is playing in one of the most high-stakes buy-in events, the Big One For One Drop ($1Million buy-in) and has managed to make it in the final six of the event.

Some of the best poker players in the world including the likes of Chris Brewer, Matthias Eibinger, Martin Kabrhel, Stephen Chidwick, Isaac Haxton, Dan Smith, Jason Koon, Adrian Mateos (eliminated at the time of writing the article), Mario Mosboeck, Mikita Badziakouski, Rick Salomon, David Einhorn, Nick Petrangelo, Talal Shakerchi Fedor Holz, and Phil Ivey participated in this coveted event.

Suvarna finds himself in the final six alongside the likes of Badziakouski, Smith, Petrangelo, Mosboeck, and Haxton. At the end of Day 2, the Indian poker pro found himself with the fifth most number of chips while holding 27 big blinds (BB); Badziakouski claimed the chip lead ahead of the dinner break. 

It is worth noting that Suvarna is nearing the bubble with the top four places finishing in the money. The WPT the Big One for One Drop 2023 winner will pocket $7,114,500, while the runner-up is all set to earn $4,663,950. The third-place finish will walk away with $2,806,750, as the 4th place is guaranteed $1,224,800 in this event.
