WPT Big One For One Drop: Santhosh Suvarna’s Bust Out Hand

Indian origin poker pro Santhosh Suvarna made quite the splash when he reached the final table of the World Poker Tour (WPT) Big One For One Drop 2023. He was among the 17 players who paid the $1 Million buy-in to grind at the coveted tournament. Renowned pros from across the globe like Fedor Holz, Adrian Mateos, Nick Petrangelo, Isaac Haxton, Dan Cates, Mario Mosboeck, Mikita Badziakouski, Rick Salomon, David Einhorn, Talal Shakerchi and WPT brand ambassador Phil Ivey also played this heavy-duty tournament. 

It was a matter of sheer pride when an Indian pro bought into the $1 Million buy-in event as he happens to be among the first Indian grinders to do so. Suvarna fought like a true hero among the top notch players and made his way to the final table. He busted at the sixth position at the hands of former pro footballer Mosboeck. Big One For One Drop 2023 – Santhosh Suvarna

Austrian poker pro Mosboeck, had a Big Slick at his hands while Suvarna played with pocket threes. The board ran out Td 7h 2h 8s Ah and that sealed the hand in favour of Mosboeck. Suvarna ended his journey in the One Drop event at the sixth position for no money. The fact remains that he is among the very first Indian pros to have played such a massive tournament and made a deep run. The Indian poker fraternity is proud of Suvarna’s effort and performance at the WPT event.

Talking about this pro from Mangalore, Suvarna has been making headlines thanks to his poker skills. Be it Hustler Casino live or Triton Poker Series, Suvarna has been grinding in high stakes cash games and marquee tournaments. He also shipped his maiden World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet at the WSOP Europe event this year and brought glory to his home country.
