Mikita Badziakouski Wins WPT Big One For One Drop 2023

All hail king Mikita Badziakouski! The poker pro from Belarus has shipped the $1 Million buy-in Big One For One Drop tournament at World Poker Tour (WPT) after battling some of the best pros in the world. Badziakouski beat footballer turned poker pro Mario Mosboeck in heads-up to take down the heavy-duty title and trophy.

He’ll take home $7,114,500 with @mariomosboeck finishing runner-up for $4,663,950!

The Belarusian pro took home a pay cheque of $7,114,500 for his stellar and gritty performance. The runner-up added a sum of $4,663,950 to his bankroll for his second place finish in the widely followed poker tournament. 

Another Indian made history when he reached the final table of this popular event. Yes, it was Santhosh Suvarna who bought into this mega buy-in tourney and fought valiantly to reach the final table and eventually finish at the sixth position. Sadly he did not get paid for his efforts as only top four places got paid in this tournament.

After Suvarna it was Nick Petrangelo who busted at the 5th spot. The eliminations followed in the form of Isaac Haxton (4th – $1,224,800), Dan Cates (3rd – $2,806,750). 

‘Jungleman’ was the chip lead when the final six players were set. The pro had 4,865,000 chips (61 BB) to his name at the end of Day 2. 

Mikita Badziakouski Winning Hand at Big One For One Drop

At Level 18, 75K/150K, big blind ante 150K, Badziakouski limps for 150,000 while his rival raises to 600,000. The Belarusian re-raises to 4,150,000, which puts Mosboeck all-in.

The former football pro makes the call for his remaining 3,825,000 with Kc Jd, needs to see cards that keep him alive against Badziakouski’s A9o. 

The dealer fanned out a board of Td Tc 8c 8h 4h. With two pairs on the board and Ace kicker, Badziakouski took down the prestigious event. He received a crystal One Drop trophy along with a Wynn trophy for his victory.
