Windows 11: Here’s What The Gaming Pros Can Expect


Microsoft has finally announced the latest version of Windows called Windows 11. The much-awaited version of the operating system is said to have new features for including gamers.

Day-to-day users, heavy multitaskers, content creators and gamers have a lot to look forward to in terms of newer features from Windows 11. At the event held recently, Microsoft specifically highlighted the features from the Windows 11 operating system that the gaming community.

Here’s what gamers can expect:

DirectX 12 Ultimate support

Microsoft claims that Windows 11 will unlock the full potential of the system as well as its resources. Additionally, it will also come with DirectX 12 Ultimate support, which means gamers can expect better graphics at higher frame rates.

DirectStorage

Microsoft had recently introduced the direct storage feature in its most recent gaming consoles, Xbox Series S and Series X, which are based on the Xbox velocity architecture. 

With Windows 11, the company is bringing the DirectStorage feature to its operating systems as well. This is said to enhance the loading time and offer a more detailed game world.

Auto HDR support

Just like the DirectStorage feature, Microsoft brought Xbox Series S and Series X’s auto HDR support feature to the new Windows 11 operating system. The auto HDR feature is designed such that it can now directly add High Dynamic Range enhancements to DirectX 11 or higher games. It also improves the overall visual experience for games by offering different brightness values and colours for an exceptional and detailed gaming experience.

Built-in Xbox App

In Windows 10, Microsoft had announced the Xbox app for the version. It had also initiated the Xbox game pass for PC with Windows 10. However, in Windows 11, Microsoft has integrated the Xbox app directly into the operating system to enhance the gaming experience. The in-built app is also said to support Xbox cloud gaming, enabling players to enjoy AAA-titles directly on their system without bothering about the minimum system requirements. 

Gaming Hardware Compatibility

Microsoft claims that Windows 11 will effectively support all gaming accessories and hardware. This includes hardware like external GPUs and accessories like Xbox Wireless controller,  Xbox Adaptive controller, gaming mice, mechanical keyboards, surround sound headsets among many others.
