Throwback Thursday: When Yash Chitre Shipped The Nano ME On Adda52


It was 16th January 2023, and curtains drew on another exhilarating chapter of the Nano Poker Series on Adda52. The final day of this popular poker series was a whirlwind of action, with a jam-packed schedule featuring the conclusion of eight thrilling events. However, all eyes were on the Main Event. The highly anticipated ₹25 Lakh GTD Nano Main Event witnessed some high octane action with top players from the industry locking horns for the winning title.

₹25 Lakh GTD Nano Main Event

This marquee tournament drew in an impressive player field of 961 (201 entries and 760 re-entries) entrants, the Nano Main Event showcased the prowess and passion of poker pros and enthusiasts from far and wide. 

In a gripping heads-up battle, MTT dynamo Yash Chitre aka ‘Babyshark21’ emerged victorious, claiming the coveted title and a handsome prize of ₹3.57 Lakh. His heads-up rival, Prateek Tibrewal aka ‘tibrewalprateek’, showcased remarkable skill and tenacity, finishing in the runner-up position for a prize money worth ₹2,99,356. 

The competition was fierce with 900+ entries, with a total prize pool hitting the ₹25,00,043 mark. The top 143 players got paid and ₹5,920 was the min-cash. The journey to the finale was not without its challenges, with only 201 survivors from the seven initial flights battling it out for the top spot. 

Notable Players On FT

The Main Event had top-tier talent from the online poker circuit in attendance. Notable players like Rashim Garg (3rd for 2,77,253), Vishal Kumar (4th for 1,55,178), Somesh Patel (7th for 57,681), and Aniket Waghmare (8th for 41,473) made the final table and took the poker rivalry to a whole new level.

Yash Chitre: From Engineering To Poker

This poker player did his engineering from University of Mumbai and went on to do his MBA from IIM Lucknow. Chitre who has worked in seven countries has a deep passion for cards and chips. The MBA graduate turned pro in 2020 and since then has been crushing the felts like a boss. And if you need proof of that, he has close to 100 online titles and over ₹4 Crore in total online tournament earnings. Chitre’s largest cash grab came from IOPC Jan 2022 when he finished 5th in the Legends tournament.
