We have reached the mid-week mark and it was another eventful day with lots of action all around. Always leading the charge, Spartan Poker hosted Destiny INR 35 Lakhs GTD which was a part of the ongoing GPS Series INR 5+ Crore GTD. Other marquee events on PokerBaazi, Adda52 and PokerStars India also performed quite well. And here’s a quick recap of all action…
Spartan Poker‘s INR 35 Lakhs GTD GPS #13 Destiny was the showstopper tourney of the day. Logging in 792 entries, the INR 5,500 buy-in event produced a guarantee-smashing INR 39.60 Lakhs prize pool. Racing past the competition was Adhirath Singh aka ‘AdhirathSingh’ who claimed a hefty prize money after railing out his opponent ‘Shefking’ in heads-up. Money reached the top 70 places, and each walked out with at least INR 13,860 as min-cash.
The INR 4.5 Lakhs GTD GPS #14 Mega Freeze on Spartan Poker played out amid 152 runners. The top 20 players earned a share from INR 4.56 Lakhs prize pool. At 3:14 am, the last man standing was ‘vishmonker01’ who defeated ‘Paperboi’ in heads-up and clinched to the first-place prize money. ‘borntrouble’ finished in the 4th place, Vivek Singh aka ‘KasolHieghts’ and Aman Parakh aka ‘KarmaPoker’ bowed out in 7th and 8th place, respectively.
Goonjan Mall aka ‘gmtesting’ was the last player standing in PokerBaazi’s The Pride INR 10 Lakhs GTD after outlasting a star-studded field of 309 entries. The top 36 players locked in at least INR 6,800 as minimum cash but Mall pocketed the biggest share of INR 2.21 Lakhs in prize money. An anonymous player ‘roarmint’ finished in the runner-up position and secured INR 1.55 Lakhs for his efforts.
The 6-Max Wednesday SuperStack INR 3 Lakhs GTD saw Ritwik Khanna aka ‘Ritwikkhanna’ powering through the field on PokerBaazi. The INR 2,200 buy-in event pulled in 121 entries and the top 18 players walked out with a min-cash. Khanna railed out Aman Parakh aka ‘KarmaPoker’ in heads-up to claim INR 77,250 in prize money while the latter banked INR 54,090. On Tuesday, the champion outlasted 150+ entries to bag the INR 3 Lakhs GTD Tuesday MonsterStack title for INR 80K in cash prize.
Adda52’s Wednesday flagship tourney Maverick INR 10 Lakhs GTD attracted a field of 567 entries, successfully crushing the advertised guarantee to create a prize pool worth INR 13.10 Lakhs. After 8+ hours of intense grinding session, mystery player ‘thedreamer05’ topped the list and shipped the event for INR 3.34 Lakhs after beating online crusher Sahil Mahboobani aka ‘ImHighIshove’ in heads-up. Mahboobani came second for INR 1.90 Lakhs.
Like the other weekday flagships on PokerStars India, even the Wednesday popular Night on Stars pulled in a pretty good field. A total of 298 hopefuls clocked in to grab the largest share of INR 8 Lakhs GTD tourney. Climbing up the ladder was ‘Zeejohn007’ who captured the first place cash prize of INR 1.52 Lakhs after outlasting circuit reg Rubin Labroo aka ‘kornkid4’ in heads-up. Labroo banked INR 1.11 Lakhs as runner-up payout.
Another attraction on PokerStars India was INR 2,750 buy-in Big Bubble Rush assuring INR 5 Lakhs GTD. The top 41 players secured a portion from INR 5.60 Lakhs prize pool but it was online regular Pranav Khandalkar who raced ahead of them all and took home INR 51,624 prize money. The champion knocked out Tuesday Hexagram champ Vishnu Khandelwal ‘violator2018’ in heads-up who added INR 37,424 to his poker bankroll.
