Wednesday Roundup: Shashank Jain captures second title!

The popular Wednesday tournament on Spartan Poker Destiny INR 40 Lakhs GTD attracted a massive field of 945 entries after paying INR 5,500. Smashing the advertised guarantee to create INR 47.25 Lakhs in prize pool, the top 70 players walked out with at least INR 16k. Making a few deep runs lately, Shashank Jain aka ‘westworld’ grabbed the winner’s title, triumphing last night and banking a 7-digit score! Jain eliminated ‘PokerStars090’ in heads-up who secured the second-place payout. This was second title for Jain this week after taking down PokerBaazi’s The Endeavour. The champion also finished second in Spartan’s Mega Stack on Tuesday.

The Pride

Circuit popular Jaydeep Dawer aka ‘JDBhaiya’ took down The Pride INR 10 Lakhs GTD on PokerBaazi last night. The entire tournament gathered a total of 473 runners. The buy-in to the tournament was INR 3,300 which led to the collection of INR 14.19 Lakhs in prize pool. Dawer secured INR 2.85 Lakhs in cash prize after defeating Ashish Ahuja aka ‘rocky3705’ in heads-up who eventually bagged INR 2 Lakhs.

With a buy-in of INR 2,500, Adda52’s Maverick INR 10 Lakhs GTD observed a pretty good field. The guarantee was surpassed, creating a bigger prize pool of INR 15.83 Lakhs. Online grinder Sanat Mehrotra aka ‘mehro2511’ raced to bag the first-place prize money of INR 3.64 Lakhs after outlasting Dhaval Mudgal aka ‘dirtyzoso’ in heads-up.

Night on Stars

With a total of 419 entries PokerStars’ Night on Stars INR 10 Lakhs GTD collected a prize pool of INR 10.47 Lakhs. The top 71 players ended up earning a min-cash while coming out on top to capture back-to-back titles was circuit grinder Siddharth Pandey aka ‘siddonuts’. Triumphing last week’s Night on Stars wasn’t enough that Pandey rode past the field to bank INR 1.55 Lakhs in prize money after eliminating Avneesh Munjal aka ‘IamAM09’ in heads-up.
