Wednesday night witnessed some intense action on the poker felts. Some of the top players in the country were seen battling it out for the top spots. While Chandan Arora, Aditya Kulkarni, Harshit Sanghi and JaiKiran Kumar among others clinched notable titles, several players also made the money. Let’s do a quick recap of the night:
Adda52’s staple Maverick was as usual a star-studded affair. The tourney witnessed 486 entries battling it out. The top 49 places at this ₹2,500 buy-in tourney made in the money as the min-cash at this tourney stood at ₹5,250.
The tournament was shipped by FTS 3.0 Head Hunter winner Chandan Arora aka ‘darkfish15’. Arora laughed his way to the bank with ₹3,56,630, while mystery player ‘voldy,’ who finished second pocketed ₹2,54,620.
Other players who made in the money included Ram Kakkar (16th, ₹14,250), Gutshot’s June 2021 e-magazine cover star Siddhanth Kapoor (22nd, ₹9,750), FTS 2.0 Main event winner Siddharth Karia (40th, ₹6,000), Kritagya Sharma (44th, ₹5,250), The Pride winner Aditya Kulkarni (45th, ₹5,250) and Sagar Choudhury (47th, ₹5,250).
PokerBaazi’s The Pride tourney was an action-packed event. It witnessed 278 entries, out of which the top 36 places took home a portion of the prize pool. The min-cash at this tourney stood at ₹6,800.
Aditya Kulkarni aka ‘Adit11’ nailed the tourney with three re-entries for ₹1,92,000. At the runner-up spot, Sabita Mondal aka ‘quadkiller007’ took home a paycheque of ₹1,84,000. Players like Siddharth Kripalani (7th, ₹36,800), Sagar Choudhury (17th, ₹11,300), Manish Lakhotia (18th, ₹11,300), Kritagya Sharma (23rd, ₹8,800), Arun Sriram (24th, ₹8,800) and Tanmay Benara (26th, ₹7,800) also made in the money at this tourney.
Players who left empty-handed included Mohit Mehta (42nd), Sahil Mahboobani (43rd), Debneil Mukherjee (54th), Ritwik Khanna (64th) and Gokul Raj (77th).
Spartan Poker’s Destiny was one of the biggest tournaments of the night. Out of the 405 entries, the top 40 places made in the money as the min-cash stood at ₹12,600.
IOPC July 2020 Main Event winner Harshit Sanghi aka ‘PokerinOlympics’ shipped the Destiny for ₹5,56,500, while Jayjit Ray aka ‘David Blaine’ finished second for ₹3,46,500.
Wednesday Vibes on Spartan Poker captured the perfect Wednesday night vibes as the event witnessed some intense action on the virtual felts. The initial guarantee at this tourney was surpassed by a slight margin as the final prize pool stood at ₹6,63,000. 442 entries were seen battling it out as the top 39 places made in the money and min-cash stood at ₹4,574.
Jaikiran Kumar aka ‘GOLI SODA’ shipped the tourney for ₹1,32,931. At the runner-up spot, Karan Radia aka ‘Majestic’ walked away with ₹88,377.
