Vasu Bansal Wins The DPT July 2023 Main Event

Vasu Bansal is the new champion in town. Bansal claimed the coveted title of Deltin Poker Tournament (DPT) July 2023 to make his name go down in history. 

Bansal chopped the pot with runner-up Krishna Khaitan, who was the chip leader when the FT began. Both players agreed on a deal to take home an equal ₹40 Lakh, however, they continued playing for the title, trophy and an additional ₹14 Lakh. Eventually, it was Bansal who emerged victorious. 

Bansal entered the FT with a mid-stack of the fifth-highest chips (19, 40,000) and managed to make his way to the top. The final hand saw Khaitan jam 400K with A ♣ 3 ♦ , while Vasu called with J ♦ 5 ♦ . The board fanned out 3 ♣ Q ♦ J ♣ 8 ♦ 8 ♠ giving Vasu his two-pairs for the win. 

Bansal walks gloriously with the DPT July 2023 Main Event champion title, the shiny new trophy and a hefty top prize of ₹53.76 Lakh. Meanwhile, Khaitan takes the runner-up spot for ₹40 Lakh.

DPT July 2023 was hosted at the Deltin Royale casino in Goa. The 14th edition of the celebrated poker series was held as a collaboration between Adda52 and the Deltin Group. The overall event, which ran between 18th July to 24th July 2023 attracted a total of 465 participants across 12 events and featured an impressive total prize pool of ₹67,177,900.
