USOP Da Nang 2024 Part 1: Dhaval Mudgal Ships Mystery Rush Bounty


The U Series of Poker (USOP) Da Nang 2024 Part 1 is turning out to be a good one for Indian players. Abhinav Iyer finished fourth at the Super High Roller event for VND 1,223,900,000 ($49,371). 

Going one step further and registering a victory at the series, was our beloved pro Dhaval Mudgal. The Pocket52 Team Pro nailed the Mystery Rush Bounty for a sum of VND 293,000,000. Mudgal struck a deal with runner-up Jun Li. This player from England took a pay cheque of VND 303,100,000.

Mystery Rush Bounty

This tourney had a buy-in of VND 10,000,000 (~USD 412) for an advertised guarantee of VND 600,000,000 (~USD 24,240). The total number of entries stood at 270 (216 unique). The final prize pool stood at VND 1,547,100,000 (~USD 62,440). The Mystery Rush Bounty paid the top 34 places with the min-cash being VND 11,100,000. 

Indians at USOP Da Nang 2024 Part 1: 

When it comes to Indian players’ performance at the much awaited series, we can safely say, they’ve done well. Prajit Gambhir finished 9th in the Mid Week Special for VND 28,900,000. J Raju and Nishant Sharma took the 16th and 20th spot in the Mystery Millions. Raju had a payday of VND 63,800,000 while Sharma added VND 52,200,000 to his bankroll. 

This event also saw Pradeep Nudurumati winning VND 20,100,000 for his 77th place finish. Ashwin Vijay took the 16th place in Big Bounty for VND 6,700,000. Well-known pro Alok Birewar finished 9th for VND 67,300,000 in the Sunday Superstack tournament. 

The coveted Mini Main Event had five Indians making it in the money. These players were Bhavik Khasturia (36th, VND 69,800,000), Pradeep Nudurumati (30th, VND 69,800,000), Raju Jaruplavath (28th, VND 69,800,000) Daniyal Mohamed Kazi (85th, VND 29,100,000), Alok Birewar (129th, VND 18,500,000).

The Freezeout tourney had Ashwin Vijay finish 10th for VND 17,000,000. Midweek Superstack saw Manish Lakhotia (5th, VND 142,700,000), Dhaval Mudgal (41st, VND 15,300,000), Ashwin Vijay (28th, VND 18,600,000) and Daniyal Mohamed Kazi (11th, VND 53,700,000) make ITM.
