From the 592 entries that took part in the tournament, 182 survivors from the starting flights came to the combined field going into play on Day 2. A little under 100 of those would go home disappointed as only 87 players would make the money in this €1,100 Main Event. These players went through 11 one-hour levels and eventually they did get to that magic money bubble with the remaining 87 players securing themselves a min payday of €1,860. But all eyes are focused top prize €103,060 (INR 81.7 Lakhs) which goes to the winner along with the title of Unibet Main Event champion.

It seemed like everyone was in a hurry to get to the money as the action at the start of the day was fast and furious. Close to 100 players were knocked out in about 3 levels of play to get the remainder of the field into the money. Andrei Alecu was the unfortunate bubble boy whose pocket Jacks ran into Romanian Florin Elisei’s Queens. That stack up meant that Elisei would end Day 2 second in chips. Eventual chipleader of the day, Vinokurov bagged just a shade under 3 million chips which gives him about three times the size of the average stack heading into Day 3 later today. Vinokurov was able to accumulate his chips through a number of aggressively played and won pots and got plenty of TV time in the process having spent the last few hours of Day 2 at the feature table.

The players will return on Sunday at noon local time to play down to the winner you can catch the action being streamed live online with hole cards (30-minute delay) at this link.
