Tuesday Round Up: Anmol Narang and Archit Saraogi Defeat Poker Heavyweights To Clinch Winning Titles


Tuesday was yet another eventful day for poker players. Be it newbies or pros both flocked online platforms to grind and make big bucks. It was a day for the mystery players as several top tournaments were shipped by them. Anmol Narang and Archit Saraogi made headlines and emerged as heroes.

So, here’s a recap of all the action that took place on Spartan Poker, PokerBaazi, and Adda52.

Mega Stack – ₹20 Lakh GTD

The Mega Stack tournament on Spartan Poker was a long grind as it started at 8 PM last night and went on till 4 AM. After grinding for these many hours for this ₹3,300 buy-in tournament, Anmol Narang aka ‘luckychewy23’ shipped this tournament. Narang traversed to the top among 725 entries and cashed ₹4,20,862 in prize money. He was followed by Rahul Kumar Jain aka ‘LEd-ZEppELiN’ who took home ₹2,65,350.  

The victory for Narang must’ve not been an easy one as online regs Ratul Steves, Ashish Pareek, Kaushik Tibrewal, Shashank Desai, Devvrat Arya, Peter Nazareth, Siddhanth Kripalani, Ankit Khattar were also competing for the title. The advertised guarantee of this tournament was ₹20 Lakh but it was surpassed and a slightly bigger prize pool of ₹21,75,000 was formed. The top 63 players were paid a min-cash of ₹9,461.

DOPT Tuesday Feature – ₹15 Lakh GTD

The Deltin Online Poker Tournament (DOPT) has been catching steam on Adda52. The DOPT Tuesday feature tournament had 490 entries in total and the top 49 players were paid a min-cash of ₹9,802. Archit Saraogi aka ‘archit521’ strikes a deal with Vishal Bajaj aka ‘GigaaBet’ and cashed ₹3,62,945.  Bajaj took home ₹3,32,086 in prize money. 

Other pros who competed for this title were Manish Lakhotia, WSOP bracelet winner Kartik Ved, Guruprasad Gupta, IOPC Millionaire Legends and Mastermind tournament winner, Aniket Waghmare, Arsh Grover, Naresh Veeravalli, Myron Pereira among others. The advertised guarantee of ₹15 Lakh was surpassed and a bigger prize pool of ₹17,82,137 was formed.

DOPT Ultimate – ₹8 Lakh GTD

The DOPT Ultimate tournament on Adda52 was a ₹2,200 buy-in event. The advertised guarantee of ₹8 Lakh was surpassed by a thin margin and a bigger prize pool of ₹11,24,000 was formed. This tourney was shipped by a mystery player ‘Oshuri’ who pocketed ₹2,12,654 in prize money. The runner-up in this tournament was ‘sadhu16’ who cashed ₹1,61,413.  

‘Oshuri’ had to fight tooth and nail with poker pros like Deekshith Kumar, Arsh Grover, Vishnu Khandelwal, Armaan Kochhar, Akshat Sharma, Gaurav Sood to emerge victorious. This tournament had 562 entries in total and the top 63 players were paid a min-cash of ₹4,777. Though players aimed to grind for the advertised of ₹8 Lakh, the final prize pool stood at ₹11,24,000.

The Endeavour – ₹12 Lakh GTD

The Endeavour tournament on PokerBaazi shipped by Madhab Pal aka ‘madhabpal2017’ who thickened his bankroll with ₹3,14,000. The runner-up of this tournament was Rajneesh Thakur aka ‘msdhoni’ who took home ₹2,20,000 in prize money.

This tournament had 446 entries in total and the top 54 players were paid a min-cash of ₹7,180. Though the advertised guarantee was ₹12 Lakh, it was crushed and the final prize pool stood at ₹15,61,000. The ₹3,850buy-in tourney had several other sharks like Sanket Arora, Vishnu Khandelwal, Final Table Series 2.0 Monster Stack winner Kumar Vatsal, Arsh Grover
