Poker is synonymous with Las Vegas! Like a paradise for poker lovers, Las Vegas is home to more than 30 exquisite poker rooms. So much so, it hosted the World series of Poker, one of the greatest poker series in the world. The Las Vegas city is a leading cultural, financial and commercial center for Nevada. The glitz and glamour is added due the iconic Las Vegas strip making it the world’s most visited tourist destination. We have curated a list of the best poker rooms on the Vegas strip to get your hands dirty during pandemic blues! 

Orleans Poker Room

The Orleans is a 35-table poker room that features Texas Hold’em, Omaha Hi-Lo and 7-card stud. Minimalistic decor and high points of perimeter walls in the rooms with large screens that give minute to minute updates about live tournaments and upcoming Orleans poker promos. Known as the Best Poker Room by readers of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Orleans has been enhanced with state-of-the-art furnishings! Orleans poker rooms recently announced that they installed plexiglass dividers that allow for eight-handed play which was previously six-handed with plexiglass. 

The Venetian Poker Room

The Venetian Poker room is popularly known for the number of  daily tournaments it hosts with eight handed games and plexiglass dividers. The poker table at the Venetian features games such as Limit Hold’em, No Limit Hold’em, Omaha 8 or Better, Pot Limit Omaha, and many more with limits starting at $4- $8. Chips are cleaned every two hours and decks are changed after every two hours. The Venetian, open from 9am to 1am,  has daily tournaments and on weekends $250 buy-in. Oh, they also promise a comfortable waiting area for your loved ones who come to cheer while you play! 

Sahara Poker Room

The Sahara Las Vegas, known for its dramatic chandeliers and intimate vibe has come up with yet another measure to attract players. The Sahara on the north end of the Las Vegas strip has a brand new $120 No Limit Hold’em Tournament that takes place on every Saturday and Sunday despite the pandemic. The poker room features partition between players that allows for seven handed play on the 50+ table games. Sahara’s games chart includes no-limit hold’em, limit hold’em, pot-limit Omaha, seven-card stud and many other mix games! The room also offers a competitive rake at 10 percent with a $4 max. 

MGM Grand Poker Room

If you are into playing Texas Hold’em, this is the place you should go to. It is known as the $1-2$ No limit Capital of Las Vegas. From the seasoned veteran to the gaming newcomer, MGM’s poker rooms have high-energy atmosphere of which Las Vegas gaming is all about. MGM offers ten different types of table games, including Blackjack and Baccarat. Due to the ongoing pandemic, poker rooms in MGM Grand are six-handed and have plexiglass installed.  The Aria and Bellagio, owned by the MGM host $125 daily tournaments which are the best cash game action in the Las Vegas strip currently.

Golden Nugget Poker Room

In downtown Vegas, Golden Nugget which has 13 tables, provide five handed tables. The card decks are changed every four hours and Tables are cleaned after every player changes. Golden Nugget also provides hand washing stations for extra protection. Golden Nugget, Orleans and The Venetian opened on 4 July itself but have been upgrading and safer spaces to grind at.

The Governor of Nevada, Steve Sisolak has implemented strict rules which entail wearing a mask compulsorily, especially for the casino industry. He also said that the industry has reopened since Nevada is almost entirely dependant on the economy due to the presence of casinos. The Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) has taken utmost precautions to curb the spread of COVID-19 and Vegas is slowly returning back to normal. With the current lockdown situation and the extremely safer environment in casinos, we definitely recommend these Poker rooms for a great game!
