Tom Dwan’s Hero Call SHOCKS The Poker World In A Historic $3.1 Million Pot

Tom Dwan was grinding at Hustler Casino Live when he managed to win the biggest pot ever in televised poker history. Yes you read it right, the 36-year-old American poker pro scooped the biggest ever pot in televised poker worth $3.1 Million!

Starting off the round was LSG Hank with a 7K raise. Doug Polk, who sat next to Wesley, saw his cards and folded off as Wesley made a 3-bet of $30K. Dwan took the 4-bet route with 100K. Yes, that’s quite ballsy which inflated the pot to $142K.

Wesley did a James Bond style 5-bet $275K and now the pot was worth $387K. Dwan tanks painstakingly and then makes the call bringing the pot value to $562K. Once the flop opened up, displaying 3d 8s 8d, Dwan checked his option and Wesley quickly asked the dealer how much Dwan had and then shoved in a bet of $125K. Dwan matches the bet. $812K pot was up for grabs and poker god were still deciding whom to bless.

 The turn opened with 5h. With shaky hands, Wesley goes on to make a solid $350K bet that raises the pot value to 1.2 Million with Dwan yet to call! After putting some thought into it, Dawn makes the call as everyone anxiously anticipates the river, which presents 6c (1.5 Million pot).

Wesley, who only had 8-pair went all in ($786K) while Tom Dwan grabbed a bottle of water before using some explicit language to call it a ‘weird f**king hand’ as the pot value sat at $2.3 Million.

Dwan decided to take some time and had a few sips of water before as this move by Wesley put Dwan on an all-in spot. The New Jersey-born pro proves that there ain’t nobody who can beat him in tanking and after doing all the other-worldly math, makes the dreaded call. Soon after the call was made, Dwan’s hand was revealed which happens to be pocket queens. This hand outsmarts Wesley’s easily.

And what was Wesley doing all this while? Putting his head down and hoping to win the pot which was now ready to go down in history books. But the moment of truth came when Wesley saw Tom Dwan’s hand and knew it was over for him. While poker gods blessed Dwan like there was no tomorrow, Wesley looked shattered.
