An action-packed week is now heading towards the weekend and Thursdays are always busy. With several flagship events on the list, let’s take a look at who won what last night across the leading online platforms of the country…
The Thursday headliner on Spartan Poker has to be the INR 4,400 buy-in Ultron promising INR 22 Lakhs. And last night logged in 664 entries, striding past the mark to generate an impressive INR 26.56 Lakhs in prize pool and the top 63 places got paid. Spartan reg Chirag Sodha aka ‘chilling’ took down the title and bagged the first-place cash prize while his opponent ‘Buddy25’ ended up securing the second place. Sagar Choudhury aka ‘strangeplay’ finished 4th place and Aniket W aka ‘Anteman’ in the 5th place.
Another attraction on Spartan Poker was the INR 7.5 Lakhs GTD Monster Stack that kicked off at 9:30 pm last night. A total of 521 runners paid INR 2,200 buy-in, individually to claim the first prize from INR 10.42 Lakhs prize pool. Taking home the lion’s portion was an anonymous player ‘palash777’ who defeated ‘89aj’ in heads-up. Prior to which Sanat Mehrotra aka ‘avneed’ settled in the third place.
PokerBaazi‘s Thursday flagship tourney INR 20 Lakhs GTD The Summit saw 331 runners who paid INR 8,250 buy-in to accumulate INR 24.83 Lakhs prize pool. Walking away with the title was Mandar Darade aka ‘Thewall233’ for 5.48 Lakhs top prize. Finishing in the second place was Abhishek Jaiswal aka ‘sharktops’ for ₹3.84 Lakhs.
The featured tourney at PokerStars India was Sunday Highroller INR 15 Lakhs GTD. The event registered 129 entries after chipping in INR 11K buy-in. Eventually, the champion was crowned in circuit regular Sreekanth Narayan aka ‘LaganaHiToHai’ who outlasted the field defeating ‘sunny9456’ in heads-up for INR 3.27 Lakhs. The latter settled in the second position for INR 2.43 Lakhs. Vaibhav Sharma aka ‘GTO_LIFE_GG’ finished 3rd for INR 1.80 Lakhs.
The INR 5 Lakhs GTD Battle Royale Mini on PokerStars India was contested by 226 entries generating a profitable INR 5.65 Lakhs prize pool. Money reached the top 39 places securing INR 2.1K in min-cash. The last man standing was Pranay Chawla aka ‘aankdikhatahai’ who captured the title after striking a heads-up deal with Ram Kakkar aka ‘TheLagLawyer’. Both players earned INR 47,352 for their efforts!
