Thursday Round Up: Gaurav Sood Claims Trending Thursday Title On Spartan Poker For ₹3.85 Lakh


The online poker felts are constantly buzzing with action and high energy. Online poker platforms went full blast with their high-value tourneys. On Thursday, many pros were grinding through the night, with the hope of clinching some flagship titles. While the World Poker Tour is still running on Adda52, platforms like Spartan Poker, PokerBaazi, PokerStars etc. were all hosting some exciting tournaments. Let’s take a look at the night’s big winners.

Monster Stack – ₹8 Lakh GTD

The Monster Stack on Spartan Poker welcomed 377 total entries who all paid a buy-in of ₹2,200 to get into the tournament. As the game progressed, many of the players busted. In the end, those who made it to the top 39 places were paid a min-cash of ₹5,520.

Mystery player ‘denoi’ was the event winner and took home ₹1,60,400 in winnings. Sushil Kumar aka ‘lex_veldi82’ was the runner up who walked away with ₹1,06,640 in prize money.

Trending Thursday – ₹20 Lakh GTD

Spartan Poker’s Trending Thursday tournament is a popular tournament and this time it saw a total of 384 entries slogging it out. The ₹20 Lakh guarantee tournament had a buy-in of ₹5,500. In the end, all the players who found themselves in the top 31 places took home a share of the prize pool. Each of them got ₹17,600 as min-cash.

Monday Round Up: Sanat Mehrotra & Gaurav Sood Clinch Top Monday Titles

Clinching the title spot was Gutshot’s January cover star Gaurav Sood aka ‘mozzie17’ who took home a lion’s share of the prize pool. Sood pocketed ₹3,85,418 in winnings and even managed to clinch the WPT Super Highroller on the same day. He defeated Chirag Sodha aka ‘chilling’ who took home a winning amount of ₹3,22,381.

The Summit – ₹15 Lakh GTD

PokerBaazi’s The Summit attracted 248 players into its fold and had a buy-in of ₹8,250. The tournament crushed its advertised guarantee and recorded the final prize pool as ₹18,60,000. Top players grabbed a min-cash of ₹15,440 from the prize pool.

Mystery player ‘Pro_Pro’ won the title and added ₹3,38,000 to his bankroll. IOPC January 2020 Millionaire Main Event winner, Anurag Srivastava aka ‘13anurag’ was the runner-up. This pro added ₹3,14,000 to his bankroll.
