Sunday Roundup: Pulkit Goyal wins SSS Millionaire on Spartan


An incredibly astonishing weekend followed by a smashing Sunday across the major poker platforms in the country hosting multiple events for their loyal user base. Sunday held a special place as Spartan Poker crowned its December edition’s SSS Millionaire INR 1.5 Crore GTD champion title! Scheduled between 13 to 15 December and a part of the Spartan Super Series (SSS), the multi-flight SSS Millionaire INR 1.5 Crores GTD hosted on Spartan Poker saw starting three flights, Day 1A, 1B and 1C, and the final day. Spartan Poker’s feature tournament, Sunday SuperStack INR 40 Lakhs GTD observed a record-breaking field of 789 entries registering for a buy-in of INR 5,500. The last man standing was an anonymous player but an online reg ‘Hit ‘Em Up’ who shipped the tournament after defeating ‘jailakshmi’ in heads-up.

Pokerbaazi hosted two headlining tournaments yesterday, one of them was The Monster INR 5 Lakhs GTD at 5 pm. For a buy-in of INR 2,750, a total number of 240 players took their seats. Outlasting this field was a well-known online grinder Arjanveer Chadha aka ‘holdbaby’ who added another title to his poker cabinet after beating priyankAAchoprAA’ in heads-up for INR 1.41 Lakhs. The anonymous runner-up managed to bag INR 99,060.

The highest guaranteed tournament on Sunday on PokerBaazi was BSS SuperStack INR 25 Lakhs. Each player chipped in INR 5,500 buy-in and the entire event saw a massive number of hopefuls battling their way to grab the top prize. Breaking the guarantee, the top 63 places received a paycheck from the higher prize pool of INR 27 Lakhs. However, the biggest share of the same was taken by Rajat Mahajan aka ‘happyfish’ pocketing INR 5.24 Lakhs beating ‘Apocalypto’ in heads-up. The anonymous player secured INR 3.67 for the runner-up position.

Generally, Sundays are reserved for 2 major tournaments on Adda52, and one of them is Mega Suits INR 25 Lakhs GTD which kicked off at 8 pm yesterday. 8+ hours into the competition saw a massive field with each player chipping in INR 5,500 buy-in. The last man standing was a prominent face in the online felts Rubin Labroo aka ‘kornkif’ emerged victoriously strengthening his poker bankroll. The tournament ended after Labroo railed out ‘ravikirti’ in heads-up for INR 6.58 Lakhs while the runner-up walked out with INR 3.84 Lakhs.

Sunday on PokerStars are all about Sunday Special INR 15 Lakhs GTD, a bounty tournament which kicks off at 5 pm sharp. Each player chipped in INR 5,500 buy-in to enter the competition and eventually after long intense hours of grinding, the star of the night was online reg ‘GTO_LIFE_GG’ to fire two bullets and shipping the tournament for INR 1.47 Lakhs defeating ‘chilitej’ in heads-up.
