Sunday Roundup: Chadha, Bothra, Gujral among Millionaire X5 winners


And it was a tremendous night across all leading online felts! Experiencing a jam-packed action and huge number of entries, players rolling down to grab bundles of their cash prizes. That was all about Sunday, reserved for some of the biggest tournaments for poker fanatics to win big! So, here is quick peek into last night’s majors…

Millionaire X5

Spartan Poker hosted three Millionaires this November and yesterday the final one called Millionaire X5 held between 21-24 November came to standstill. The multi-flight tournament saw starting four flights, Day 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D and the ultimate Day 2 that kicked off last night.

The tournament assured INR 10 Lakhs to the top 5 players in contention drawing a massive field which ultimately lead to only 246 qualifying to resume on the final day. It was an intense affair, the grinding continuing for over 5 long hours and prior to it, a prize pool of INR 1.10 Crores was distributed among the top 240 finishers.

Yesterday saw the rise of 5 incredible online grinders topping the Millionaire X5 including ‘GODSENT’‘Tonkaa’Arjanveer Chadha aka ‘bazzingaa’, Deepak Bothra aka ‘chimpoo’ and lastly, Raman Gujral aka ‘tathagat’ who grabbed the title along with a whopping INR 10 Lakhs each, further strengthening their poker bankroll.

The top 6 reached the final hand of the tournament in level 26, drawing their respective blinds. It was ‘GODSENT’ who entered with the largest stack of 7.5 million chips followed by ‘Tonkaaa’ with 5.1 million chips. Chadha raised 212k pre-flop while holding pair of Queens. 4 out of 6 players fold and ‘Namefeme’ holding Ace and Queen puts his entire stack in the middle. The board runs 8d Kh 6c 3s 4s and Chadha collects the pot showing his higher pair. From there, the tournament halted and all the remaining five were paid out equally.

Sunday SuperStack

And what an end to the week it was yesterday on Spartan Poker hosting Sunday SuperStack INR 35 Lakhs GTD, always enticing and giving the poker enthusiasts the best opportunity to showcase their skills and win big. Undoubtedly, this featured event is among the most popular online tournaments, being a day off for most citizens.

  •         Min-Cash – INR 13,414

The tournament kicked off at 8 pm sharp with a buy-in of INR 5,500, recording a massive field. The competition continued until the winner ‘joey114114’ grabbed the marvellous prize money after pushing ‘sttoned’ in the runner-up position. After the final hand of the tournament, the players settled for a 3-way deal. With ‘joey114114’ carrying the largest stack, he was dealred the winner of the night.

BSS Superstack

Each player chipped in INR 5,500 buy-in to enter BSS Superstack INR 25 Lakhs GTD hosted on Sunday in PokerBaazi. The tournament began at 7 pm sharp, and the entire event saw a massive number of hopefuls battling their way to grab the top prize.

Eventually, the top finishers received a payout, a share from the prize pool. After long hours of intense grinding, it was the well-known player in the online felts, Anirban Das aka ‘pottysingh’ who mastered the tournament adding INR 5,05,180 into his poker bankroll. Das defeated Goonjan Mall aka ‘GMtesting’ in heads-up.

The final hand of the tournament saw Das carrying 6.3 million chips and holding Kh 7d up against Mall with 900k chips and 7h Ah. The board ran 5s 4d 2h Kd 6d and that’s when Das struck a pair of Kings on the turn to win the tournament.

Big Slick

Sundays are reserved for two major tournaments on Adda52, one such is the Big Slick INR 15 Lakhs GTD. Kicking off at 5 pm, the tournament enticed a huge number of 503 entries, each one chipping in INR 2,200 as buy-in amount. The standout performance was given by a regular face among various online platforms, Ragesh Mishra aka ‘ragesh91’ who took away INR 6,03,600 prize money! Mishra defeated Anish Patra aka ‘anishpatra’ in heads-up who eventually settled for INR 3,52,100 as the runner-up prize money.

Sunday Special

PokerStars hosted Sunday Super Special INR 20 Lakhs GTD on PokerStars India at 5 pm sharp. The tournament saw the rise of runner-up on PokerBaazi, Goonjan Mall playing under the username ‘gmtesting.ind’, firing 3 bullets and shipping the tournament for INR 2,16,176. Mall defeated ‘Godof.com7’ in heads-up to bag the title on Sunday night. The runner-up walked out for INR 1,58,456.

The top finishers well-received a share from the prize pool including Rachit Parihar aka ‘hack_R27’ (4th), Laksh Pal Singh aka ‘B00MTilt23’ (5th), Rony Chowdhury aka ‘GoGetters1’ (10th), Avish Sharma aka ‘KLLUST’ (24th), Sandeep Varma aka ‘effuno007’ (50th), Arjanveer Chadha aka ‘ballistik310’ (53rd), Pranjal Gandhi aka ‘lillmessipranjal’ (54th) and others

The Joker

9stacks hosts The Joker INR 15 Lakhs GTD scheduled for each Sunday. The tournament observed a pretty good field, the buy-in to which was INR 5,500. Over 7 hours of serious grinding, INR 3,67,500 was added into an anonymous player’s bankroll, playing under ‘OldMonkXXX’. The winner pushed away Dheeraj Bisht aka ‘Sarkar12345’ to the runner-up position followed by Harsh Raj aka ‘littleboy’ in third position.
