Sunday Round Up: Tarun Goyal Ships DOPT Main Event For 25,04,800


Sunday was a busy day for poker players as multiple high-value tournaments were hosted across all platforms. The final day of the Deltin Online Poker Tournament (DOPT) took place on Adda52 with Tarun Goyal being crowned as the Main Event (ME) champion. Other tournaments on Spartan Poker, PokerStars, and PokerBaazi also experienced some exciting action. For the full update, read below.

DOPT on Adda52 ended yesterday and its ₹1.5 Crore GTD Main Event was an immense success. There were 149 entries that progressed to Day 2 of the event. Out of this, the top 143 players finished in the money. The min-cash stood at ₹35,517. It was Tarun Goyal aka ‘aggtarun’ who shipped the tournament and took home a whopping ₹25,04,800 in prize money. The runner-up was Shagun Jain aka ‘sogani94’ who walked away with ₹18,00,999.

DOPT 6 Max Showdown – ₹25 Lakh GTD

Top players were grinding on Adda52’s DOPT 6 Max showdown tournament. There were a total of 420 entries who fought hard for the title spot. The event had a buy-in of ₹7,850 and the advertised guarantee was crushed. The final prize pool generated was ₹29,98,796. In the end, the top 43 places were paid, and the min-cash stood at ₹16,493.

Players who grabbed the top 63 spots finished in the money. The min-cash was ₹6,375. Mystery player ‘Haxton66’ clinched the winning title and prize money of ₹3,52,500. While another mystery player, ‘Shashank14’ was the runner-up who added ₹2,05,500 to his bankroll.

Spartan Poker’s Sunday Superstack pulled in a total of 297 entries. The marquee tournament had a ₹11,000 buy-in and a prize pool of ₹30 Lakh. After a long grind, the top 31 places were paid, and the min-cash stood at ₹26,400.  Online reg Vishal Bajaj aka ‘CrownUpJr’ who added ₹6,34,500 to his bankroll. It was Arjun Singh Kochhar aka ‘2Pac4life’ who grabbed the runner-up spot for ₹4,27,200.

Player Apaar Gautam aka ‘floatfish’ finished in the second position with ₹2,94,000.

In the end, the top 31 places were paid and the min-cash was ₹7,422. The tournament ended with Shagun Jain aka ‘Sogani22’ taking the top spot for ₹2,69,405. Following him was Ujjwal Narwal aka ‘CougarHunter69’ in the runner-up position for ₹2,10,584.

Sunday Highroller – ₹12 Lakh GTD

The Sunday Highroller on PokerStars saw some of the top players from the poker circuit locking horns. The buy-in of the tournament was ₹11,000. After an intense grind, only the top 13 places were paid with the min-cash recorded as ₹29,700. The winning title was grabbed by Vaibhav Sharma aka ‘GTO_LIFE_GG’ who took home ₹2,76,521. Sahil Mahboobani aka ‘inaboobham’ was the runner-up and walked away with ₹2,12,375.
