‘stupefy’ wins Mega Stack on Spartan

The Spartan Poker always gives high value to their players be it in tournament or ring games. The 12 Lakh GTD Mega Stack tournament which is scheduled every Tuesday of the week saw a participation of 397 entries last night. It was ‘stupefy’ who topped the field and claimed the title as well as first place prize of INR 200,726. ‘stupefy’ is one of the regs at The Spartan Poker and last night’s finish is one of many tournament titles and deep cashes this player has had. ‘stupefy’ defeated another Spartan reg in Vinayak ‘bajajinga’ Bajaj in headsup. Bajaj took home INR 1,99,834 for his runner-up finish. Coming back to the tournament stats, the prizepool was distributed to the top 39 places with a min-cash of INR 8,280. There were many notables in the field including Monday night’s Mega Freeze winner Anurag ‘godspeed’ Kumar along with cvc, vg007, LuckyLuciano to name a few.

 

The tournament came to an end in Level 53 with blinds running 70,000-140,000-17,500 where ‘stupefy’ had Kd Th and ‘bajajinga’ was holding 8d 9s. Pre-flop action saw a raise from ‘stupefy’ to which ‘bajajinga’ folds. After this hand, both heads-up opponents took a moment to makes a deal to which the winner was announced in ‘stupefy’ and runner-up ‘bajajinga.’
