SSS Day 9: Sagar Choudhury among title winners


We are just one day away to wrap up the fantastic 10-day long Spartan Super Series on Spartan Poker. SSS Day 9 lined up seven tournaments and all winners came out with flying colours! The major attraction was DareDevil and House Party both assuring INR 10 Lakh in prize pool. And here’s a recap of the title winners of SSS Day 9

SSS #58 INR 2L GTD

At 12 pm the first event kicked off with a buy-in as low as INR 550 attracting 445 entries. Only 31 players could earn a share from a bigger prize pool of INR 2.22 Lakh. The competition came to an end in level 40 when the final players decided to settle for a heads-up deal which saw Sagar Choudhury aka ‘strangeplay’ taking home the winner’s prize money while his opponent ‘Manavgosain’ secured the second place payout.

SSS #59 Saturday Hi-Fi INR 3.50L GTD

The buy-in and guarantee both increased to become INR 880 and INR 3.50L GTD, respectively. The event pulled out 457 entries and the top 39 earned INR 2.5K at least from a slightly bigger prize pool. In level 42 , the players struck a 3-way deal which saw ‘SAMWELL TARLY’ securing the cash prize along with the valuable title.

SSS #60 Afternoon Showdown INR 5.50L GTD

Once again, the tournament concluded with a heads-up and eventually, ‘thejoker’ was announced the official winner. With a buy-in of INR 2,200 a total of 313 hopefuls joined the field which led to the collection of INR 6.26 Lakh in prize pool. The top 27 places walked out of the event after earning INR 6K at least. ‘thejoker’ secured the largest chunk of the prize pool while his opponent ‘chicken-dinner’ settled in the runner-up position.

SSS #61 INR 3L GTD

At 6 pm fourth event kicked off with fetching a total of 275 entries for a buy-in of INR 1,100 out of which only 23 could add money to their bankroll. It was ‘RK0503’ to top the list after the players settled for a 4-way and ‘cardshark91’ earned the second-place paycheck.

SSS #62 DareDevil INR 10L GTD

Saturday flagship tourney on Spartan Poker was DareDevil that pulled out a total number of 294 entries after each one chipped in INR 4,400. The guarantee was surpassed creating bigger prize pool of INR 11.76 Lakh and the top 20 players benefited from the same. Eliminating ‘rahul1981’ in heads-up was ‘waghoneblood$’ who dominated the former with his flush over JJ and captured the first-place cash prize.

SSS #63 INR 20K Lite

An anonymous player ‘pokergambit’ rode past the field to grab the winner’s title in Event 63. The tournament fetched a total of 1,020 entries for buy-in of INR 550. The top 2 places were assured INR 2 Lakh in prize money. Following the steps of ‘pokergambit’ was ‘rakeshguru’ who finished second.

SSS #64 House Party INR 10L GTD

After finishing runner-up in Event #61, ‘cardshark91’ emerged victorious in the final tournament of SSS Day 9. Pulling out 561 entries in total for a buy-in of INR 2,200 only the top 47 places secured a paycheck. The champion knocked out ‘deepak015’ in heads-up and clinched to the largest share from INR 11.22 Lakh prize pool!
