Sriharsha D continues good run; ships Adda52 Whale

Sometimes when you’re doing well, everything seems to go your way. The same seems to be applicable to Indian poker player Sriharsha Doddapaneni at the moment. He had a brilliant month of November with plenty of deep runs across all major platforms, including shipping the BSS SuperStack on PokerBaazi.

They say ‘All’s well that ends well’ and Sriharsha ended his month on a high with another online poker title, shipping the Whale 6-Max INR 15 lakh GTD on Adda52 last night. This happens to be one of their biggest weekly offerings and it is played in one of the most preferred 6-Max format.

Last night, 220 entries joined the tournament which has a buy-in of INR 7,500, which was just enough to beat the promised guarantee of INR 15 lakh. From these, the top 24 places finished in the money, each receiving a minimum pay-out of INR 12,810. Some known names who took away min-cashes last night were Sajal Gupta (24th) and Siddharth Karia (21st).

Adda52 tournaments usually see very tough fields and last night was no different, which makes Sriharsha’s achievement an even better one. As the competition progressed, some more known names busted like Ashish Ahuja aka ‘rocky3705’ (17th), Harsh Dembla aka ‘dembla’ (6th) and Rajat Sharma aka ‘Oshoswami’ (4th).

Sharma was the first player to receive a 6-figure pay-out last night, winning INR 1,29,602 just a night after he shipped The Flash on Spartan. Soon, heads-up began between two very well-known players in the Indian poker industry – Sriharsha Doddapaneni aka ‘Ivey2’ and Shravan Chhabria aka ‘sweatmyass13’.

Sriharsha wasn’t the only one on a good run, as Chhabria also won the Maverick on Adda52 just the previous night. It would’ve been exciting poker action between the two but eventually, it was Sriharsha who took away top honours, shipping the tournament and winning the top prize of INR 4,13,672. Chhabria also won a handsome bankroll addition of INR 2,41,120.
