Spartan Poker Acquired By OneVerse For An Undisclosed Sum


In a significant deal which is set to reshape the gaming space, OneVerse, a MetaVerse and gaming tech firm has acquired online poker platform Spartan Poker. This acquisition marks a crucial moment in the progress ahead for both the brands, unlocking potential opportunities that promise to redefine online gaming in the coming future.

The latest acquisition is a continuation of OneVerse’s M&A strategy. The firm is looking at consolidation in the gaming market and working towards becoming the country’s leading gaming company. 

The recent macroeconomic updates have led to a significant momentum being unlocked in the M&A space. The company is also looking to close the books on a couple of other acquisitions in the coming months for $120 Million.

OneVerse has been a frontrunner when it comes to innovation, pioneering cutting-edge solutions in the MetaVerse. Spartan Poker’s acquisition aligns with OneVerse’s commitment to delivering unmatched experiences.

Spartan Poker is a leading player in the real money gaming industry and is known for its innovations and high-quality game offering. The latest acquisition is a significant milestone in OneVerse’s strategy which cements its position as a dominant name in the gaming space. Spartan Poker with over 2 Million registered users, is one of the largest poker sites in the country.

Dhyanesh Sundarmurthy, Co-Head, RMB Capital India, who acted as OneVerse’s advisor on the acquisition said, “Spartan has a huge user base, with a definite path to profitability. The potential for immersive transactions through online gaming makes it a perfect fit for OneVerse’s MetaVerse-based gaming platform.”

“The deal entails the integration of the networks and players on the platform. While it is a 100 per cent buyout, the management team will remain and continue to deliver growth and further value creation.”

Paul Micheal, CEO of OneVerse Gaming, expressed his thoughts on the acquisition and said, “This strategic move signifies our commitment to shaping the future of gaming. By joining forces with Spartan Poker, we aim to push the boundaries of innovation, delivering unparalleled gaming experiences to our users in India and worldwide.”

The top boss at OneVerse Gaming reportedly told Economic Times, “The recent macroeconomic headwinds have unlocked momentum for M&A opportunities and the company is looking to close a few additional acquisitions in the next three months. With this large M&A round, we want to create a scale which is able to sustain in the long run with proper strategies on player retention while also creating meaningful value for the gaming house.”
