Siddarth Singhvi ends good day; wins SSS Triple Bubble

What a lovely day it was for Siddarth Singhvi, a poker player who plays under the name ‘PeterPunter’ on The Spartan Poker. In the ongoing Spartan Super Series (SSS), a massive amount of INR 3.7+ crore is being given away in guaranteed prizes and Singhvi has made up his mind that he wants to be among the top prizes.

Yesterday was Day 5 of the series and Singhvi began the day by shipping the first tournament and taking home nearly two lakh rupees. It was a good day of grind for Singhvi, who then finished 10th in The Elite and ended the day by shipping the Triple Bubble tournament as well, thus gaining important points to the SSS Leaderboard. He finished at #7 after SSS Day 5.

It was just the third edition of the Triple Bubble tournament, one of three of Spartan’s new tournament offerings. The company decided to up the guarantee for this week’s tournament and even that was broken, with 500 entries registering and creating a new prize pool of INR 15 lakh, which was distributed among the top 45 players with a min-cash of INR 8,250.

He beat ‘rishabjain1983’ in heads-up and took home another massive prize of INR 2.85 lakh, ending what was a brilliant Friday for Singhvi. The tournament ended at 5am today morning in Level #55, with the blinds at 25,000/50,000 – 5,000. Singhvi held a decent chip lead and decided to go all-in pre-flop with Jh As, in what became the final hand of the tournament. The board opened 4h 6c 6h 3h 6s with both players hitting three of a kind Sixes and Singhvi winning with a higher kicker, Ace. rishabjain1983 took home INR 2,06,250 for finishing second.

Gutshot caught up with Singhvi to ask him about this brilliant day on Spartan. He said, “I’m glad that I could close both of the SSS events. They have amazing structures irrespective of the buy-in amounts. I ran deep in The Elite too and was pretty close to making 3 in a day but will take this too.”

As a part of the Triple Bubble tournament, there were other players who were rewarded as well. BigBadBlind was the bubble boy and he was given back his tournament buy-in of INR 3,300, Guneet Kwatra aka ‘guntz’ was the FT bubble player and he was given a ticket to next month’s Millionaire tournament, while the runner-up, rishabjain1983, won tickets to both the Millionaire and Two of a Kind.
