Shravan Chhabria wins Adda52 Godfather trip to Europe

All of the top Indian poker websites have a certain number of unique tournaments and promotions that attract some of the best players from around the country. One such tournament series is Adda52’s Godfather, recently having ended its fourth edition, which awards one player every nine weeks with a poker package trip to Europe.

The tournament takes place every Thursday night on Adda52 and the winner from each tournament had INR 1.1 lakh deducted from their winnings towards the Godfather 4.0 SnG Finale, which took place yesterday. Some of the top poker pros in the country were a part of this Finale, including Aditya Sushant who won last week and Vivek Rughani, who won a couple of weeks back.

The much-awaited finale kicked off at 4pm yesterday afternoon, in a winner-gets-all SnG, with an INR 10 lakh Europe poker package up for grabs. Given the tournament structure and bigger tournaments coming up later in the night, the finale was over just 3 hours and 9 minutes after it began, with popular player Shravan Chhabria aka ‘sweatmyass13’ taking away all honours.

Chhabria beat all the other Godfather 4.0 winners to take down the title and will soon be flying away to Europe to participate in a prestigious poker festival, where he will be looking to further multiply his winnings. Chhabria is a known poker entity in India, with many live and online poker achievements, and this win only adding to those achievements.

Just recently, Chhabria finished third in The Elite on Spartan. When Gutshot contacted him after that good run, he told us about the tournament experience while also wishing all his friends the best of luck for the Sunday grind. However, it looked like a lot of luck was also on his side yesterday, winning this major tournament on Adda52.

Gutshot caught up with Chhabria after this big victory, to get his views on the same. He said, “Well, I landed in Rome yesterday for a very close friend’s wedding, and single tabled this on my phone with an unimaginable view (see below).
