Shooting At The Las Vegas Strip?

As per media reports and a quote shared by poker player Siddharth Siddharth, there was an active shooting on the Las Vegas Strip near MGM grand valet area. This Indian poker player who is based out of Florida told Gutshot Magazine about the incident. He added, “There was apparently shooting noise heard outside MGM/Aria Casino around 10:30 PM Vegas time, then suddenly there was a loud noise heard here at WSOP in Paris Ball Room, everyone freaked out, they started running and hiding under the tables.”

Meanwhile, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department took to Twitter and posted that ‘Reports of a shooting near the MGM tonight as unfounded.”

He further added that he is staying at Paris Las Vegas and the hotel staff had asked them to stay silent. He also added that the WSOP had asked players to leave their player card and bag them early for the night so the game could continue tomorrow.” However, American pro Francis Anderson told Siddharth that he has returned to the casino again as the police has told them that everything is fine and apparently no one was harmed at the Paris’ poker room.

Anderson also added that it was crazy to see people falling on the ground and hiding under tables. Finnish poker player Patrik Antonius took to Instagram just two hours ago from Bellagio Las Vegas. Although the video showed a hotel room, the hotel security was stating over an intercom, “The situation at hand has been resolved. There was no active shooter and there is no emergency. Please resume normal activity.”

For Siddharth, this WSOP edition has been no lesser than a rollercoaster. Firstly, wsop.com wrongly reported that he was as the chip lead in the $10,000 buy-in World Series Of Poker (WSOP) Main Event to now experiencing panic when at Bally’s and Paris. Siddharth has been actively grinding in the WSOP series.

Waiting for inputs from other Indian poker players who are at Las Vegas at the moment.
