India’s only Triton Poker champion Santhosh Suvarna has been making headlines at the ongoing Triton Poker Series held in London. The poker pro-cum-businessman, who had earlier cashed at the $60K NLH event at the series, taking the 12th place on 31st July, has now added to his tally by cashing at three events in two consecutive days.
Yesterday, we reported that Suvarna had taken 20th place at the Luxon Invitational event at the series. Now the pro cashed at two more events, namely, the $125K Main Event and the $60K Turbo event, on the same day.
At the $125K Main Event, Suvarna finished in 25th place and pocketed $189,000. He shoved all in on the board of T ♦ J ♣ K ♠ Q ♣ with his remaining 630K and was faced by an all-in from Nick Schulman with 2.5 Million. Schulman flipped pocket aces while Suvarna flipped pocket sevens. The river of 6d did not make any difference, as Schulman’s straight meant a straight exit for Suvarna from the Main Event.
Similarly, at the $60K Turbo event, he narrowly missed making it to the final table after facing a bad beat. He bubbled the FT at 10th place for a pay cheque of $91,500. His aces were cracked by Timothy Adams’ Fishhooks on the 8 ♠ 5 ♣ 7 ❤ J ♣ 3 ♠ board.
Suvarna bet 130K on the river, to be followed by an all-in from Adams. Suvarna made the call with his remaining stack and faced disappointment at the showdown.
This also marks Suvarna’s fourth cash at the Triton Poker Series 2023. Here is a summary of his cashes at the Triton Poker Series London 2023 so far:
|$250K Luxon Invitational||20th||$371,000|
|$125K Main Event||25th||$189,000|
