Triton Poker Vietnam 2023: Santhosh Suvarna Finishes 4th At Event 7

India’s Santhosh Suvarna has finished at the fourth place at Event #7: 75K NLH 8-Handed of the Triton Poker Vietnam 2023 Super High Roller Series. He has cashed $628,000, which is the highest cash of his career.

Suvarna entered the final table with the fourth-highest stack of 2,472,500 chips (50 BB). After initially swinging back and forth among the top four stacks and taking over the chip lead a few times today, he lost a huge pot, leading to his stack falling below the average on the table. 

He managed to score a double bust out by knocking of Triton Poker Cyprus 2022 Main Event winner Thailand’s Punnat Punsri and England’s Dusk Till Dawn poker club owner Rob Yong in a three-way all-in hand. Know more about the hand here.

Finally, at blinds 75,000/150,000, he locked horns with chip leader Stephen Chidwick after he shoved his 650,00 all-in from the button with A ♣ 7 ♦ . Chidwick called from the big blind and flipped suited connectors (Q ♣ J ♣). The board brought T ♠ 5 ♦ 9 ♣ K ♠ 3 ❤ , giving the Triton Madrid 2022 Short Deck Main Event winner a straight. The king on the turn brought Suvarna’s hunt for his first Triton title to an end, as gave Chidwick a fist0-bump and walked away from the table with a big smile on his face.

This fourth place finish marks the highest cash of Suvarna’s career. Prior to this, his best cash was $ 245,000. which he collected by finishing eighth at the No Limit Hold’em – 8-Handed event at Triton Poker Super High Roller Series Cyprus last year.
