While Indian players are performing well in live poker events, the online felts also saw top performing players ace their game. High-value tournaments on Spartan Poker, PokerBaazi, PokerStars, and Adda52 were filled with enthusiastic players and ended with top players taking home titles. Here’s a look at what went down.
The Mega Stack on Spartan Poker had a ₹20 Lakh guarantee and there were 241 unique players, 87 re-entries, and 157 rebuys. In total there were 485 entries. The buy-in of the event was ₹4,400 and top 47 places were paid. The min-cash was ₹11,400. The event was shipped by ‘Drunken Monk’ for ₹3,89,800 and the runner-up was Arjanveer Singh Chadha aka ‘bazzingaa’ for ₹2,47,600.
The Tuesday High Roller on Spartan Poker attracted a total of 200 entries. Out of this 95 were unique players, 31 were re-entries, and 74 were rebuys. The advertised guarantee was crushed, and a final prize pool of ₹20,00,000 was formed. The ₹11,000 buy-in event ended with the top 17 players getting paid. The min-cash was ₹31,400. The event was shipped by ‘Aya Sofia,’ who had a big payday of ₹5,03,200. Asian Poker Tour (APT) India Online Series Mini Main event winner Ashish Munot aka ‘Donkey 07’ was the runner-up and took home ₹3,40,000 in prize money.
The Mint on Adda52 had a ₹14 Lakh guarantee, and the buy-in of the event was ₹3,850. The event had 206 registered players, and 167 re-entries. This added up to 373 total entries. The top 38 places were paid and a min-cash of ₹8,400 was given. The event was clinched by Sanish Chhabra aka ‘sanish21,’ who took home ₹2,85,362 in prize money. Deep Patel aka ‘ChristopherCoke’ was the runner-up for ₹2,76,738.
The Endeavour had a ₹12 Lakh guarantee on PokerBaazi, and a total of 460 entries flocked to the platform to play. From this, 242 were unique players, and 218 were re-entries. The initial guarantee was crushed, and ₹16,10,000 was generated as the final prize pool. The top 54 players made the money, and the min-cash was ₹7,410. Rohit Behal aka ‘Kudos0505’ shipped the event and pocketed ₹3,24,000 in prize money. Suresh Kolli aka ‘oil_trader’ and had a payday of ₹2,27,000.
PokerStars hosted its Bounty Builder event which had a ₹10 Lakh guarantee. There were a total of 129 entries and out of this 79 were unique players and 50 were re-entries. The ₹7,700 buy-in event ended with the top 13 places paid. The min-cash was ₹11,904. Atishay Samuel aka ‘momstacos’ shipped the event and earned ₹1,30,860 in bounty prize and ₹1,08,108 from the regular prize pool. The runner-up was ‘tangovictor42’ and he took home ₹41,398 in bounty prize and ₹1,08,108 from the regular prize pool.
