‘repustlit’ is big winner on LBS Day 1

The much-awaited Little Big Series (LBS) Special Edition kicked off yesterday on The Spartan Poker, with a never-seen before series guarantee of INR 81+ lakh. Four events were scheduled on Day 1 of the series and there was a lot of fun action taking place at the virtual felts.

Here’s a small update on Day 1 of the series:

Little Big Series Event #1 INR 50k GTD

This tournament was the series opener and it kicked off at 2pm last afternoon. A small buy-in of INR 220 saw 385 entries registering to the tournament and crushing the guarantee to create a prize pool of INR 77,000. The top 54 places were eventually paid out a minimum of INR 347 and the players to come out on top of this field was ‘BIGBANG5759’ who won INR 14,245 for finishing first. In the final hand, the player hit a King high flush to beat ‘MTAAA’ three of a kind Jacks, with the latter settling for INR 10,280.

Little Big Series Event #2 INR 125k GTD

With a buy-in of INR 550, this tournament saw a field of 277 entrants and once again, the guarantee was broken with a new prize pool of INR 1,38,500 being created. The top 36 players were eventually paid out a minimum of INR 900 each, with female player ‘LoveCheese’ winning the tournament and being paid the top prize of INR 22,700. ‘ikilldonks’ lost to this player in heads-up, taking away INR 19,390 for finishing second. In the final hand, LoveCheese’s pair of Queens on the river beat his opponent’s pair of Tens.

Little Big Series Event #3 INR 200k GTD

The third LBS Special Edition tournament kicked off at 8pm and the INR 1,100 buy-in tournament saw a total field of 255 entries, which broke the guarantee and created a new prize pool of INR 2.55 lakh. The top 36 finishers were paid out a minimum of INR 1,657 and ‘Basket’ was the winner, taking away the top prize of INR 51,000. Remember, Basket also won the SSS Mega Freeze on Spartan a couple of weeks back. Here in the LBS, he beat ‘asizone’ in heads-up, who settled for the runner-up prize of 35,700.

Little Big Series Event #4 INR 600k GTD

The biggest tournament of the night was saved for last. The INR 3,300 buy-in tournament saw 171 entrants and from these, the top 24 were paid out a min-cash of INR 6,000. The winner was ‘repustlit’ who walked away with the biggest prize of the night, adding INR 1,38,000 to his poker bankroll. He beat ace online player Arjanveer Chadha aka ‘instrumental’ in heads-up, who settled for the runner-up prize of INR 92,700.
